It's official. This fight will happen September 1st. I expect this to be an extremely easy fight for Vitali. Probably a KO by the 6th round.

From FIGHTNEWS
By Alexey “Oscarâ€￾ Potapov

WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (44-2, 40 KOs) will fight against WBC International Silver heavyweight titlist Manuel Charr (21-0, 11 KOs) on September 1 at the Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex in Kiev, Ukraine. Klitschko will fight for the second time in Ukraine, and the first time since 1998 when he knocked out Italian Francesco Spinelli in the first round. Now he’ll enter the ring in the main football stadium in Ukraine in the presence of 70,000 people. It is likely the last fight of Vitali’s career as he finally plans to go into politics. On October 28, he and the Punchâ€￾ party (rus. UDAR – Ukrainian Democratic Alliance for Reform) will take part in parliamentary elections in Ukraine.

Another easy victory for the Greatest Heavyweight champion in the history of the sport.
In my eyes Vitali is undefeated, he forced this coward Lewis in retirement.

This should be a nice retirement fight. Charr has fought nobody above the German domestic scene. Jumping from the Owen Becks and Danny Williams of the world is like jumping from a local track meet to the Olympics in London. It says on Boxing Rec that he is Syrian born I thought he was Lebanese. Anyway he had a weird situation where he couldn't leave Germany because he was barred re-entry because he didn't have the official documentation. I guess that situation was solved or maybe 1 million Euros is worth being homeless...

In my head Vitali won that fight, the fat Negro used his nasty quality of hair and head to cause that injury in the eye of Vitali. If it was the other way around, the ref would stop the fight in favor of the Negro.

I don't know about Lennox Lewis being fat, but his cheating was hardly only in your head. On the link above, the incidents of the "Englishman's" cheating are catalogued, and yes an honest ref would have disqualified him.

"I just rewatched the fight. It was almost all Vitali. The only thing that Lewis did effectively was slice open Vitali's eye with his glove lacing and - mainly - constantly rubbing his head into the left side of Vitali's face - doing that all night long."

...

Check it out - Round three, 9:02+ in the tape. Lewis rubs his head hard into Vitali's face, and right after that Vitali's face is all red on the left side. And again on 0:35 of the second tape in round 3 Lewis rubs his head on the left side of V's face, and after that Vitali's face is badly cut - not from any punches but from Lewis' head!

And again at 1:10 in the tape in rd. 3!

And again at 1:25!

And again at 1:33!

And now after round three Vitali's face is all messed up around the eye, not from any punches but from Lewis' head!!!

3:33 on the tape in rd. 4 - more of the same from Lewis!

And again at 4:02 on the tape.

At 4:17 Lewis blatantly rubbed his glove across Vitali's left eye.

And again, more Lewis head rubbing of V's left eye at 4:53 to 5:02.

And again at 5:29, tho the camera angle makes it hard to see this one.

And more at 5:45.

And more at 5:59.

And at 6:11.

And again at 6:18.

More at 7:33 rd. 5.

7:43 rd 5.

9:08 rd 5. Lewis is in trouble but still doing the one effective thing he's been doing all fight, rubbing his head into Vitali's cut eye. The so-called ref doesn't see anything.

More at 9:26.

1:46 rd. 6.

2:47 rd 6.

2:51 rd 6.

2:56...but there's hardly any point to going on as Lewis was rubbing his head into Vitali's eye all fight long and it's almost constant in rd. 6!

Carcharias, please if it's easy I would like to have your opinion (knowledge really) on something!

I just realized today that Vitali is the only HW in history who has been a champion and has been a holder of major titles for 3 decades (90's, 00's, 10's)..............To be honest I didn't make a full research cause I have been kinda busy with work and GD's speeches lately (September is always wild), I only checked Jack Johnson, Joe Louis and George Foreman who fought until really old age and all 3 of them were champs for 2 decades only!

Could you please verify if that's true and accurate? Cause then we speak for another incredible record set from the Greatest Heavyweight of all time that Vitali is!

Im a HUGE fan of Vitali Klitschko and have been for years. He's such an amazing, tough fighter, and he has such a badass "tough guy" persona and it suits him so well. He`s an awesome guy, awesome fighter, and really just a great role model for youth in my opinion. Vitali Klitschko is a personal hero of mine :)

Vitali is at the end of his career however, and I think Vitali has lost some strength, speed, and fire over the years. A few years back he would have stopped Charr much earlier in the fight.

As things stand, I`m expecting Vitali to stop Charr late (Round 8 onwards) or more likely, win a wide decision.

Vitali will retire after this fight as a true all time great heavyweight. He will best be remembered for his awesome chin (in my opinion the best HW chin of alltime belongs to Vitali, surpassing Chuvalo), sustained attacks, iron will, and progressive beatdowns he gave to many of his opponents.

I think Vitali`s best win would be his TKO of Sam Peter - at that time Peter was on a high, largely unblemished, and feared. Vitali beat the sh1t out of him and stopped him. A great win. Vitali`s KOs over Danny Williams, Corrie Sanders, Kirk Johnson, JC Gomez, Cris Arreola were also all impressive!

This is a great going away fight for Vitali.

For what its worth, Charr is a decent fighter and a great guy as well. He`s Arab, which is cool in my book.

Charr is a great guy and recently said in an interview that he is broke, has no money and needs the fight. So good for him.

My Prediction: Vitali TKO 11

:)

The one thing that angers me about this fight is that its being used by HBO as a lead in bout to Ward-Dawson. Yes, I understand there`s an associated time difference.

But lets be real here.

Vitali`s Career Accomplishments are MUCH GREATER than Andre Ward`s.

So, in my opinion, Klitschko should be the Main Event, and Dawson-Ward should be the undercard bout.

Im not happy with the way HBO is showing this fight, almost like putting Vitali below Andre Ward.

**** that. Stupid American media. Vitali is ten times more achieved than Ward. Get it right.

Vitali is an alltime great. Ward is good, but hasnt achieved that level of achievement or longevity yet.

Yes, he's the only one to have held a world heavyweight title in three different decades.

Magomed Abdusalamov was knocked down in round 1 by Mccline but came back to win by TKO in the second!
It looked like a bogus stoppage in this fight. It looked like Charr had slight cut outside the eye. Charr refused to accept the stoppage and wanted to fight on and looked like he might attack Vitali. Unlike Lewis vs Vitali there is no disputing whether this cut was caused by an illegal punch/foul. Maybe the Syrian rebels can use Charr as their version Joe Louis....

Great Vitaly, he looked very young for his age again, the greatest heavyweight of all time shined again!

Great sportsmanship in the end from both men, i lie Charr he's a warrior and has a fighting heart, I want to see him vs Chisora or Haye, I know he will smash both, especially Chisora!

Adamek also won by TKO over negro Travis Walker. Adamek was down in the second round but survived. I really think he should move back down to cruiserweight and regain his title. He can't handle heavyweight punches.

I missed a bunch of interesting heavyweight fights I wanted to see today - Vitali-Charr, Abdu, and Adamek. Are any of them up on Youtube yet?

Here's round four -

Maybe they should have let him continue, but it was really a good call for Charr's career. He was possibly saved from serious eye injury, and his bravery greatly enhanced his reputation. I expect to see him get a good high profile big money fight again now.

It amazes me the way Vitali fights with his guard hand down by his side.

I just saw "Klitschko" the documentry on HBO. all I can say is it is the best sports documentry I have ever seen. The production is on the same level as HBO's 24/7 but instead of an hour, the doc is 2 hours long. It is so well made that its like watching a movie. It shows the brotherly love between the two brothers and shows excellent fight footage of the past fights.

Its easy to see the difference in Vitali's speed then compared to today's win. Vitali relies on intelligence and timing now compared to even 4 years ago. I highly recommend the CF members to view this excellent documentry on the greatest heavyweights of all time.

Tomasz is such a warrior! I think he should stay in the HW division for some more, Vitali looks like he's about to retire. I am sure for the vacant WBC belt Haye will be the one contender and Tomasz is very possible to be the other. Tomasz wants to be the first boxer in history to be a champ at LH, CR and HW divisions and I think he can make it, he has great quality and a heart of a lion!

Great night for our boys, Vitali, Abdusalamov , Tomasz, Matthyse, Bellew, all got victories vs non whites! (Even though Charr can pass for Caucasian, not white exactly)

Congratulations to half white Ward to dismantle this overrated Negro Dawson!

I give Tomasz credit, he's one of the few heavyweights that will fight ANYONE! He doesn't hide like overrated black fighters Deontay Wilder who has been fighting tin cans to his perfect record. You are correct, now that Vitali is retiring he has a good chance at a belt. He certainly wouldn't get it beating Wladimir though.
