Volkov robbed in a split decision - even UFC's color team was pretty shocked. 'Modern Parisian' bodybuilder Cyril Gane seemed to walk out of the octagon after the call before quickly returning to give a brief interview where he blamed a broken toe for the controversy (?).

I'm rooting for the Kazakh in the fur cap over the Irish weirdo, sorry to say.

That sucks, but Volkov had some poor fight IQ moments as well and could have won harder.

The Irishman lost but took Shavkat down to the wire and almost submitted him, impressive for a late replacement performance, would not be surprised if he becomes champ one day.

The Jap just lost, would be a bit inauspicious on Pearl Harbor day, Bryce actually got a nasty finish on the guard puller, slammed him while he was holding on and elbow TKO

Volkov has a certain hourglass shape (very wide hips) that seems unbecoming in contrast to his opponent's more "Mike Tyson" build. This weird construction gives him four very long limbs, which seem to me to be a unique advantage at this sport. He cuts weight impressively and still looks light and rather shredded despite a figure that would never make magazines.

I don't think the losing party had a single UFC fight before tonight, and Pantoja's usually a quite boring champ, this is a co-main tier event for another UFC, it was likely overshadowed by Garry Vs. Shavkat.

I'm not one to tell him what to do but Volkov should really get rid of that hairdo.
