Sam Stout got screwed. I had him winning the last two rounds and I think Taverez got saved by the bell in the third.

Good to see Gonzaga back in the UFC. Yeah, Stout just took too long to get going.

Vitor taps the Great Black Oaf Anthony Johnson who only likes to fight guys 30 pounds lighter than him.

Chad Mendes coming in the ring to Guns & Roses.

Aldo is vulnerable and I think Chad pulls the upset with his wrestling.

I think Mendes might be Portuguese-American. He has light brown hair and is very white. Lots of Portuguese in California as well (like Steve Perry of Journey). Plus the spelling of Mendes rather than Mendez is indicative of Portuguese.

Damn - Chad was winning the first round then got caught with a knee in the final seconds. The fight was waved off as the bell for the end of the round rang.

Oh well - Koch, Porier, Hettes, Pearson and a slew of young whites at 145 are coming for Aldo.

This card reminded me of one of the early UFC cards when it was Brazil vs USA. Nice to see Belfort spring a mild upset over Johnson. Who seems to not try and make weight if he can't do it without killing himself. It's a huge advantage when you can be 20 pounds heavier and be the longer fighter too. Otherwise this card was mediocre at best........

The cards are set to favor the country it is in to get more international appeal. That is why the British cards are always very bad because it's hard to find anybody who can lose to a British fighter.

Anthony Johnson has been cut by the UFC.

Good riddens to the "soopah afflete". His (lack of) BJJ was exposed by Vitor, Koscheck and Clementi. He's always seems one dimensional to me....striking w/ overrated wrestling.
