They play football and basketball now

We'll probably hear this one forever now. It's not clear why basketball players would make good boxers, as they are obviously not natural punchers.

The "football and basketball" crowd also never explains how the US boxing team lost all of it's 130 pound athletes to football and basketball. How do 130 pound guys play football, exactly? Boxing would be one of the few sports they could play. Not football or basketball.

Nothing has changed, except for the coming of the East European white heavyweights.

There's still no really good North American white heavyweights. If not for the Europeans, blacks would still be dominating the heavyweight division.

Great 130 pound prospects are traders on Wall Street and movie producers in Hollywood. If they are black they might be in junior college studying small business courses, so that they can manage their weed growing operation....
