The Inspirational Story Of Nick Newell

Nick Newell is 26 years old 5'10 155 has over 300 combined wins in high school and college at Western New England College and currently has a record of 8-0 as a pro in MMA, but the most amazing thing about it is he has done all of this with only 1 arm. Newell is a great inspiration to everyone, I've seen videos of him just dominating guys in the standup, andhis takedowns are awesome. He recently tried out for TUF and while he didn't get selected, Dana White said he was impressed with his ground game. I don't know if I should put him in my prospects, but here are some of his videos.

I've seen Newell several times on AXS TV (formerly HDNet). He is legit and is fighting for a belt in XFC later this year. Not to be funny, but he actually has a "hook" for one arm and that can help in submissions.

I tend to think Nick will win the XFC belt and be called up to the UFC. However, having only one arm HAS to be a disadvantage at some point - especially in striking.

Best of luck to him. Despite having white skin, he may get some media coverage in BSPN and SI due to his disability.
