Pavlik knocks out Taylor!
By Rick Scharmberg, Kurt Wolfheimer and
Matt Richardson at ringside
Middleweight Kelly Pavlik (32-0, 29 KOs) scored an incredible seventh round knockout of champion Jermain Taylor (27-1-1, 17 KOs) to claim the WBC/WBO middleweight championship on Saturday night at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. Both fighters came out and traded punches in a great round one. After a violent barrage in round two, Taylor floored Pavlik and had him in big trouble, however Pavlik managed to survive a very rocky round. Pavlik somehow regrouped and had a good round three. After several rounds of good two-way action, in round seven Pavlik landed a big right hand and his follow up knocked out Taylor at 2:14.

And as for the judges go they can go f**k themselves. The score cards going into Round seven were 58-54 taylor.thankgoodness Kelly pavlik ko'd this hype job hopefully for good.Edited by: onewarrior5

How the judges had taylor ahead that much is incredible. I saw the fight as being even until Kelley put his lights out. I give Hbo credit for having Kelley slightly ahead what those judges were watching I dont know.

Even Taylor thought he was behind on the cards in the post fight interview. So if both Steward and JT felt they were behind, it makes me wonder what the judges were watching.
Thank god Kelly knocked him the f*ck out, he was going to get robbed if it went to a decision.

For some reason the judges always seem to give Taylor the close rounds. Everyone but the three yoyos scoring the Taylor Wright fight knew Winky Wright won. One little bit of triva. That 58-84 score card belonged to Julia Lederman whose husband the announcer had Pavlik ahead by one point.
Just be glad Scroger was the referee if it had been Frank Garza you would have watched Taylor waltz with Kelly for several seconds every time he was hit. I am wondering about the rematch. The contract calls for the second fight at 166 pounds. This is over the max for middle weight so if Taylor wins does he regain the middle weight title? I also wonder if Emannuelle Steward still considers Pavlik only an "average" fighter? I knew JT and friends had some ral apprehensions about Pavlik when Steawrd starting his brainwash campaign. Think of the mediocre competition Vlad has faced and he has never badmouthed any of them.

One Judge was black and another was some silly bitch with name that sounds Jewish.

I don't understand how Pavlik could have been so far behind on the cards? Fortunately he put an end to the fight or he would have lost for sure. Quote from an article found at ESPN:

Pavlik's big knockout erased a deficit on all three scorecards; he was down four points on one card and three points apiece on the other two. The win also made a mockery of the words from Taylor trainer Emanuel Steward, who predicted the fight would be competitive for "about a round."

I think the bitch Lederman is actually the wife of HBO announcer Lederman. HBO picks the judges? No wonder the fix was in. I'm surprised the judges let their scores be known after the TKO. I figured they would adjust it in Pavlik's favor just to look objective. Do the judge's scores get posted somewhere after each round where they can't be altered?Edited by: Amren.com

Julie Lederman is the daughter of Harold Lederman, who was a long-time boxing judge before he began to work on HBO. And yes, they are Jewish.

Her card had Taylor with a five point lead (the other two had Taylor ahead by 3 points).

Harold Lederman is a pharmacist during the working week. Maybe his daughter fills her own prescriptions....

Gee what a shock. The Jew was even less objective than the black judge.

They will be there for Mayweather on December 8, it's a safe bet that Hatton can only win by KO.

Jose Luis Castillo clearly, decisively beat Mayweather in their first fight (the whole fight is on YouTube) but the judges (including his Jewish fanboy, Jerry Roth) gave him the win. And in the fight with De La Hoya last May, it was Roth who was there for him again, scoring the last round for the undeserving Mayweather ( otherwise it would have been scored a draw).
