Congress Passes Defense Bill Codifying Indefinite Detention

The President is expected to sign the bill, which will allow indefinite detentions without charge or trial, even for American citizens...

http://news.antiwar.com/2011/12/15/congress-passes-defense-bill-codifying-indefinite-detention/

What this means is all some anonymous politician has to do is call you a "terrorist" and they can lock you up and torture you for life, no lawyer, no trial, no jury, no defense, no nothing. Or they can just kill you if they feel like it. What's a "terrorist"? Anything they want it to be. They can call you a "racist" or "white supremacist" terrorist if they want. Or an "antisemite" or "neo nazi". They can call you a "homophobe" terrorist. If you're antiwar they can call you an "Al Qaeda" sympathizer terrorist.

Hasta la vista, Bill of Rights and USA.

Thanks for posting about this, werewolf. I found several articles about it yesterday and we should all be concerned about it. The police state is here.:hail::usa:

It is an issue for concern, but this particular legislation is still just baby-steps toward a total subversion of due process. The language (seemingly) does not suggest an open-ended authority to detain beyond what has already been in practice. However, it does seem that we are creeping ever closer to that slippery slope and all it will take is one non-Muslim domestic terrorist attack to hurl us into the abyss.

Anyone interested can read the act in the link below. Also there is a search function at the top (searching for '1031' will take you to the relevant sections, it might also be a good idea to comb it for anything internet related).

"As nightfall does not come at once, neither does oppression.... There is a twilight when everything remains seemingly unchanged. And it is in such a twilight that we must be most aware of change in the air -- however slight -- lest we become unwitting victims of the darkness." -- William O. Douglas, US Supreme Court Justice from 1939--1975

As for "non-muslim terror attacks", do you really think that 911 was a Muslim terror attack? The only thing Muslims had to do with it was to serve as the patsies, the fall guys. And all these ridiculous phony every other day things that the jewsmedia plays up as "FBI breaks giant Muslim Terror Plot" where FBI agents recruit a couple of retards and then they crack their own "giant terror plot" (like their first attempt to blow up the money losing red herring WTC towers in 1993 when almost all the "terrorists" were on the FBI payroll). And do you think they're not going to come up with "white supremacist" terror plots" whenever they feel like it? The Kammissariat of Homeland Security has already issued statements that "domestic terrorists" are their biggest threat. What they really mean is us.

The mainstream politicians very dumb and shortsighted and have no understanding of history. As Weimar passed laws to control their enemies which the Third Reich used to control the very people who passed the laws. Ironic isn't it.

The Jews and their lackeys are getting terrified! In their fear, they are blind to the long term consequences of their actions. They see that the people are getting angry and restless as the economy fails and they understand a rebellion is highly likely, but instead of trying to fix the problems, they see force as the way to hold on to their power, but force requires people like military or police and they are unpredictable and what if a general decides that he needs to detain those troublesome politicians and guess what the very laws they passed says he can without due process! Actions have consequences!

As has been pointed out these are just "baby-steps" but clearly shows the mindset of the "leaders" today. An overt strike against the opposition today would only hasten the upraising, but it is possible that it would be use to get rid of a minor opponent or whistle-blower that could be done below the radar.

As far as political outcomes are concerned it is irrelevant whether events are real or false flag operations. The powers-that-be will use those events, or "events" if you will, to enact the same sort of overbearing ideological policies.

Three myths about the detention bill
Condemnation of President Obama is intense, and growing, as a result of his announced intent to sign into law the indefinite detention bill embedded in the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). These denunciations come not only from the nation’s leading civil liberties and human rights groups, but also from the pro-Obama New York Times Editorial Page, which today has a scathing Editorial describing Obama’s stance as “a complete political cave-in, one that reinforces the impression of a fumbling presidency” and lamenting that “the bill has so many other objectionable aspects that we can’t go into them all,” as well as from vocal Obama supporters such as Andrew Sullivan, who wrote yesterday that this episode is “another sign that his campaign pledge to be vigilant about civil liberties in the war on terror was a lie.” In damage control mode, White-House-allied groups are now trying to ride to the rescue with attacks on the ACLU and dismissive belittling of the bill’s dangers.
For that reason, it is very worthwhile to briefly examine — and debunk — the three principal myths being spread by supporters of this bill...

Nice find there, werewolf. Thanks for sharing. Although usually a pimp for Cultural Marxism, at times Salon does some great work, like this article.

Nice to see a ton of well-stated comments by the readers, too.

More and more people are waking up to the PTB, who they are, and what their agenda really is.

Now their next step...the Internet "Kill Switch"..."Chinese style"...and massive censorship in the name of protecting "Intellectual Property".
