Does caste football have any profiles on social networking sites such as twitter or facebook? I think these could be great ways to reach more people. We could tweet about the caste system during games so people could see it as it is happening. Any feedback?

That CF facebook group is no longer active. There wasn't a lot of interest being generated by that group even with regular updates, with less than 50 members after 2+ years.

There was some interest in forming an actual CF facebook page that people can "like" etc.
That and a twitter account sound like good ideas to me.

Now all we need are volunteers to start and help update the pages.

Yes, I maintained it for 4-5 years. The CF MySpace page was successful as long as MySpace itself was still a popular social networking site. Those days are over. In 2011, MySpace is almost completely useless for our purposes. Millions of never checked or updated personal profiles, along with a bunch of band pages, porn bots, and other undesirable content.

We should be maintaining a presence online outside of this site to spread awareness of CF to people that might not otherwise find us. A lot of new people could be reached this way, consider the immense size of the most popular social networking sites. Even if few of them become regular CF posters, we have still succeeded in getting our message out to more and more people. It can do nothing but help our cause, but we need to use the most effective channels and not otherwise waste our time.

I do believe that a CF fan page on Facebook would be a good idea, as would a CF Twitter account.
