Immigration Deal Would Grant Amnesty to Parents, Spouses and Children


Senate Democrats and Republicans are working feverishly with the White House to put the finishing touches on an immigration proposal that could be announced later today or tomorrow. The deal would give illegal aliens living in the United States amnesty, according to confidential sources. It would also allow illegal aliens to bring their parents, spouses and children into the United States.


Multiple sources on Capitol Hill with knowledge of the proposal said Sen. Teddy Kennedy (D.-Mass.) has been able to extract significant concessions from Republicans. The critical part of the deal is a lengthy section that spells out the provisions related to "Z" visas -- or what my sources described as the "Amnesty Title" of the bill. The "Z" visas would be broken down into three categories as follows:


Z-1 -- Illegal alien present and working in the United States up to January 1, 2007
Z-2 -- Parents and spouses of illegal aliens qualifying under the Z-1 category
Z-3 -- Children of illegal aliens qualifying under the Z-1 category

"According to reports, the bill contains a new 'Z Visa' that allows those who entered our country illegally to stay here permanently without ever returning home. This rewards people who broke the law with permanent legal status, and puts them ahead of millions of law-abiding immigrants waiting to come to America. But thankfully if Rudy is elected, these illegal immigrants will be required to have national I.D cards. Which will solve every problem that illegals bring to this country.

I have been reading all the neo-con websites and they are pissed about this bill. I cannot believe the repubs are going to pass this thing, they will seriously lose major votes in the next election. Maybe that is all by design. Wipe out the GOP forever and run the tables with illegals.
I read an article today in the newspaper. A man who was against illegals five years ago, was criticized by his diversity loving neighbors. The diversity loving neighbors now have 20 people living next door (mexicans packed in a house) that come and go all hours of the night and litter and urinate in the yard. Now they agree with the man who was against all these illegals, however it is probably too late.

Your story reminds me of my personal experience with this issue. As a patriotic White Californian I have witnessed my State be totally transformed from a paradise to a cess pool by immigration (legal & illegal). We passed Prop 186 (halting almost all government benefits to illegal immigrants) over 10 years ago only to see it halted by an activist judge and the appeal abandonded by the treasonous Governor Gray Davis (who was eventually recalled do to ineptitude). When I went onto forums and BB's to warn others of the destruction these "immigrants" wroght, all I heard was "I hope California falls into the ocean" and similar comments. Now, its too late to do anything short of outright revolt, and frankly I don't see the will there for such a radical action. This country was stolen right out from under our watch due to a fear of being called a silly little word, racist. We have forfeited our birthright and damned our children to a nightmarish hell on earth. You may think I am overly dramatic, but remember we "nutjobs" out here in California are at least a decade ahead of the curve and know exactly what the rest of you are in for.

Reclaimsocal, I used to dream of moving to California but I'd never move there now. So sad to see the one of the most beautiful places in the world go down the pan. I've heard about how the government hides crime statistics in California because they are so bad compared to the old days and that's simply down to the sheer numbers of Hispanics and Carribeans that run wild on your streets. I think the only place i'd ever move to in the US now would be Washington State where I have many friends. Even WA is starting to change now!

I briefly in passing heard a news report on the radio stating that the amnesty bill will be delayed for debate until after Memorial day. I hope I heard that right. Keep up the good work guys, continue to contact your Congressmen and if you get a chance confront your local congressman face to face. That was the advice given by a congressman on a local radio show last night.

I have fired off emails and made phone calls to my congressman. I have notified my family and friends and they are doing the same thing. Let it be said, win or lose, that we spoke out against this unamerican amnesty proposal.


We should be rounding up illegal aliens, not giving them citizenship for violating our laws for years.

I am for rounding them up too but it's not necessary. Just enforce the laws currently on the book against employers who hire illegals and the jobs will dry up and they will have to go home. There are a bunch of new laws in this current amnesty bill but nothing leads me to believe the goverment will enforce any of it. There were only three companies in 2006 fined last year for hiring illegals out of the thousands of companies that were doing it. It's certainly worth the roll of the dice for these companies to keep doing what they are doing.

How is it that the government can ensure we will keep paying these illegal immigrants less then minimum wage? The way I understand it, as soon as they become citizens/legal aliens, they are eligible for minimum wage.


Even if they are to be paid less and be legal, doesn't that mean that we are creating a class of valid second citizens, similiar to slaves? Why is no one mentioning this little tidbit?
