Sam Blaskowski is not only the fastest cat in D3, he’s one of the top sprinters regardless of level in the USA. he’s been mentioned frequently in the track season threads the past couple years, but i thought it fitting that he finally had his own thread.

and, to start it off, here’s a very complimentary video profile on the prolific and prodigious sprinter:

 
he is probably emblematic of a lot of white athletes that couldn’t sniff d1 a programs, in that he should have been chosen higher, but didn’t. Impressive indeed
 
Blaskowski won the D3 200-meter championships with a time of 20.93.

This kid is the Polish Rocket! Amazing performance just toying with the competition like a man among little boys.

Here is my Wish!!! SAM BLASKOWSKI GO TO POLAND AFTER COLLEGE AND COMPETE FOR THE POLISH TEAM.
He can push many of the other guys including Marek Zakrzewski to greater levels and make a better 4 x 100 Relay Squad.
Blaskowski can make alot of money as a professional running for Poland. He would be the male version of Ewa Swoboda!

Just saw this video a few minutes ago. Shocked. It's stunning. Never in my lifetime did I think a man of European descent would run a 9.89. It's just amazing. But it's not just the speed. It's a physical barrier that's been broken and I think, most importantly, it's a psychological breakthrough. The next generation of young White sprinters now knows it's possible. Christophe Lemaitre(9.92) wasn't just a one off.

Somehow, despite the decades of denigration, white men are asserting their physical dominance. While few are given the opportunity, those that are tend to perform as the best.

I predict we soon see a guy like Kalen Walker dip below 9.90 as well.

Good video. I have to agree that his time is quite a surprise - but a good one!
Interesting to note that Matthew Boling also ran at that meet, but didn't qualify for 100m final, as he only ran 10.49 in the heats.
I wonder how he felt watching Blaskowski win the race in that amazing time.

He ran in near perfect conditions to set this unofficial record. I would love to see what Kennedy could have done in these conditions as I still feel he is the best White 100m sprinter but Blaskowski is the Neal Armstrong of White sprinters for the 9.8 barrier...
