Robert Duvall, one of the greatest actors I have seen, passed away this weekend. He was 95. The first movie I ever saw him in was "To Kill a Mockingbird."Dang, he was good. R.I.P.

Yes, RIP to a great and one of the best of his era. I was just thinking the other day when I heard of his passing, "they don't make actors like that anymore".

I always felt his strongest roles were in supporting roles in historical movies such as the Godfather, Godfather II and Apocalypse Now. At some point I should put aside the time to watch Tender Mercies as that was his lone Academy Award as he similar to various famous actors had numerous runner up finishes in the largely political voting process.

RIP to one of the great actors of his generation.

PS he also never went drunk with Hollyweird power as we never read headlines of domestic violence, drug abuse, ugly plastic surgery or girlfriends/concubines the age of a potential grand child. His generation of actors had much less of these vices that seem to plague Hollyweird these days.
