Port Arthur News says he has 2010 yds. on the season. The Beaumont Enterprise has him at 1980 yds. on 235 attempts for 8.4 average and 22 tds. I hesitated about writing about him because I wanted to see him play in person beforehand. He didn't disappoint. He rushed for 406 yds. last friday! Rumor has it, colleges are looking at him playing safety.

I hope this game helps change some minds. He's put together these numbers in a very tough district while fighting an ankle injury that made him miss most of of one game and hampered him in others. His line is well above average, but he hits the holes they make so well, and he is killer in the open field. He is a breakaway back. I bet he's even more powerful on 100% ankles as well. We have excellent white football players in Texas. I hope this one doesn't get passed over like many others before him. Edited by: KG2422

why are they "saying" he should be a safety?

man! good luck to Micah!

he's got great knee lift, and that is the key to speed. and look at that forward lean!

he's not afraid of contact, either. that's him making the tackle! ouch!

Micah had 26 carries for 164 yds and 5 touchdowns as Nederland rolled to a 48-7 victory over Houston's Galena Park in the first round of the playoffs. The teams from the Beaumont area have been making the Houston area teams look like they were a little overrated.

Good news - I read that Todd Dodge (formerly of Southlake Carroll,
now head coach at North Texas) has asked for tape of
Micah. I hope this means that Coach Dodge will continue his trend of having unstoppable and
99% White teams.

Well, Micah has given a verbal to UNT. Good news is that he was recruited as a running back, and since fullbacks, h-backs and tight ends don't exist in Dodge's offense it looks like it will remain that way. It also looks like UNT is pulling in a very white recruiting class for next year. Should be fun to watch them next year. Go Mean Green!

Cool stuff! I'll keep my eyes on Micah and North Texas next year. Odds are he'll be redshirted though.

That's great news. Good luck to UNT.

I noticed in Sunday's Port Arthur News longtime columnist Bob West said that "Most college coaches won't recruit a white running
back, even one as good as Mosley. Thankfully that didn't bother Todd
Dodge, who was totally unconcerned that he had virtually no competition
on the Bulldog standout."

Todd Dodge is going to open a lot of people's eyes in a couple of years when he gets "his" players in there. Mark my words, UNT will be sniffing top 25 status in 2 or 3 years and will be starring white skill players.

Of course, I said the same thing last year about Todd Graham at Rice when he recruited five white skill players. He led them to a bowl game in his first year, then quit and took the Tulsa job. I hope Dodge doesn't do the same thing.Edited by: SteveB

I wish for just one time that these so called "investigative reporters" would ask the question WHY! What good reason is there for not recruiting them? Why not, if these writers lack the intestinal fortitude to find out or write the answer to that question, at least ask the question in the article for once? Sheeple, sheeple, sheeple, sheeple, sheeple!

At least he had the guts to say what he did. Most others would just say he could make an excellent fullback at the next level.

True enough, but he'll never get any real criticism for saying that. He's just stating the accepted party line. There aren't many "journalists" I like, simply because they aren't what they claim to be. Objective? I think not.

West is an old-timer who is a fun read when he rips on the right people, but he also likes to write about his "pals" Billy Tubbs (former college basketball coach) and Jimmy Johnson (who is from Port Arthur). Both of whom are basicallyCaste fanatics.
