I was floored when I heard that Ramirez was voted MVP. I should of figured in a short series where no one gets to put up many numbers that they would just give the award to the non-white player with the best statistics.

If there wasn't such a bias against relievers- or if
he'd been a minority- Foulke probably would've
gotten it. The Red Sox pitchers were the most
dominant performers in the World Series. They're
the ones who shut down the Cardinals' offense for
three straight games.

And how about all the criticism aimed at Edmonds,
Rolen, and Larussa, and not Pujols? Pujols is
considered one of the top two or three hitters in the
game, and he did not get one RBI in the World
Series. But it's only the white men who get blamed.

Good point JD074. Roid boy Pujols is immune to criticism. Ramirez got the award based on his BA and color. They have to find some way to rub it in whitey's face.
