Looks like La Raza and their collection of paid-off lackeys (& other assorted vermin) are none too found of Maricopa County (AZ) Sheriff Joe Arpaio's crackdown on illegal invaders!

Too bad the hamstring'd Feds can't/won't do their jobs & deport these untermenschen. We could end this whole issue if the castrated sellouts on "Crapitol sHill" would end "birthright citizenship" & taxpayer subsidies for all illegals...the invaders would "deport" themselves. However, that'd would clash with the PTB's plans to destroy the American middle class, the White race's dominance and our sovereignty!

Thousands protest sheriff's immigration efforts

By JACQUES BILLEAUD, AP Writer â€" Sun Jan 17, 3:09 am ET

PHOENIX â€" Thousands of immigrant rights advocates marched in front of a county jail in Phoenix Saturday in a protest that was aimed at Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio's immigration efforts and was marked by a clash between a small group of protesters and police officers.

Organizers say the protest was meant to show officials in Washington that Arpaio shouldn't handle immigration enforcement, and that Congress and the Obama administration need to come up with a way for immigrant workers to come to the country legally.

The three-mile walk that started in a west Phoenix park ended by afternoon at the Durango Jail Complex, a collection of five jails, where officials played music, including a record by singer Linda Ronstadt, to drown out noise made by protesters. Ronstadt took part in Saturday's protest.

Protesters chanted "Joe must go" as they approached the jail complex. One person carried a sign that said "We are human" and bore a picture of a lawman with a wolf's face. A family of five wore T-shirts saying "Who would Jesus deport?"

For his part, Arpaio said he wasn't bothered by the protesters and that they should be directing their frustrations at Congress because it has the power to change America's immigration laws.

"They are zeroing in on the wrong guy," Arpaio said. "They ought to be zeroing in on the president."

The demonstration was peaceful until police say protesters near the end of the procession started throwing water bottles at officers. Phoenix Police Lt. Pat Hofmann said officers used pepper spray as they tried to separate protesters from an officer who was trying to take away the bottles.

Phoenix police spokesman Sgt. Andy Hill said on-scene supervisors described a group of demonstrators purposefully disrupting the demonstration by assaulting several police officers and a police horse.

He said one demonstrator struck a police sergeant on the head and chest with a flagpole. Two others threw water bottles, possibly containing rocks, at other officers, but missed.

Hill also said a police officer on horseback was assaulted while her horse was mobbed, punched and pushed. The officer used pepper spray to stop the assault.

"Most regrettably, a nearby 2-year-old child was hit by some of the pepper spray," said Hill, adding that the Phoenix Fire Department was called to the scene to treat the girl. "I am told she was released and was expected to be OK."

No one else was seriously injured, he said.

Phoenix police said Saturday night that five people were arrested during the protest and taken to Maricopa County Jail. Four were booked on suspicion of aggravated assault on police. The other faces disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Though the scene of the disturbance was cleared within minutes, the aftermath was chaotic. Protesters yelled obscenities at police officers in riot gear. One officer shook his pepper spray canister as he ordered people to keep moving. One protester wore goggles, and several others wrapped bandanas around their mouths.

Critics have accused deputies working in Arpaio's immigration efforts of racial profiling, which the sheriff denies. He says his deputies approach people when they have probable cause to believe they had committed crimes.

Ten months ago, Arpaio learned he was under investigation by the U.S. Justice Department for alleged discrimination and unconstitutional searches. He says the investigation was prompted by his immigration efforts, although federal authorities haven't provided details.

Since early 2008, Arpaio has run 13 immigration and crimes sweeps involving officers who flood a section of a city â€" in some cases heavily Latino areas â€" to seek out traffic violators and arrest other violators.

Arpaio's power to make federal immigration arrests was stripped away three months ago by officials in Washington, but he continues his immigration efforts through the enforcement of two state laws.

A federal grand jury also is investigating Arpaio and his office on allegations of abusing his powers.

Arizona sheriff launches immigration sweep

By JACQUES BILLEAUD, Associated Press Writer Jacques Billeaud, Associated Press Writer â€" Thu Mar 18, 8:16 pm ET

PHOENIX â€" The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office in Arizona has launched a two-day, countywide crime and immigration sweep that authorities say will focus on drop houses, drug violators and human smuggling vehicles.

Four hundred deputies and volunteer posse members are taking part in the patrols. The sweep, which began Thursday, is Sheriff Joe Arpaio's 14th since early 2008.

During the sweeps, deputies flood an area of a city â€" in some cases heavily Latino areas â€" to seek out traffic violators and arrest other alleged lawbreakers.

Critics say Arpaio's deputies have racially profiled Hispanics. The sheriff says deputies approach people only when they have probable cause to believe people have committed crimes.

Sheriff Arpaio is a true patriot and a profile in courage and there are more than a few Sheriffs that are starting to wake up to the under utilized power that each of them have to stand up to the FEDS. I went to a tea party sponsored rally last weekend featuring a good friend of Arpaio, retired Sheriff Mack of Arizona who sued the goverment over the Brady Bill and got the Supreme Court to overturn it. Gentlemen,

Sheriff Arpaio is the fedgovs worst nightmare. He's doing his job according to the constitution and they can't do anything to stop him. all the elected officials in all the offices across this country who aren't doing anything about the illegal aliens are in violation of their oaths of office. Especially those who actively prevent their law enforcement agencies from not enforcing those laws.

For a look at what happens to a town when it is overrun by illegal alien immigrants, check out this town just SE of downtown LA. I remember when I lived out that way that they had stopped arresting pretty much anybody for crime in that town, since that's "profiling". I'm surprised that they don't have "Spring Break" warnings about venturing here...

Joe is the man, plain and simple. His tent city saves a ton of money and is really tough on inmates with the 100 degree heat.

Arizona Clears Strict Immigration Bill

By MIRIAM JORDAN

Arizona lawmakers on Tuesday passed one of the toughest pieces of immigration-enforcement legislation in the country, which would make it a violation of state law to be in the U.S. without proper documentation.

It would also grant police the power to stop and verify the immigration status of anyone they suspect of being illegal.

The bill could still face a veto from Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer. A spokesman for Ms. Brewer said she has not publicly commented on the bill. Ms. Brewer, a Republican, has argued for stringent immigration laws.

Under the measure, passed Tuesday by Arizona's lower house, after being passed earlier by the state Senate, foreign nationals are required to carry proof of legal residency.

Immigrants' rights groups roundly criticized the bill. "The objective is to make life miserable for immigrants so that they leave the state," said Chris Newman, general counsel for the Los Angeles-based National Day Laborer Organizing Network. "The bill constitutes a complete disregard for the rights of nonwhites in Arizona. It effectively mandates racial profiling."

The bill's author, State Sen. Russell Pearce, was in a committee session Tuesday and couldn't be reached, his offices said. Mr. Pearce, a Republican, represents the city of Mesa, in Maricopa County, whose sheriff, Joe Arpaio, has gained a national reputation for his tough stance on immigration enforcement. A spokesman for Mr. Arpaio didn't return a request for comment.

The bill is different from an earlier version, giving protections for church and community organizations from criminal prosecution for transporting or harboring illegal immigrants.

In a statement, Tuesday Rep. John Kavanagh (R-Fountain Hills) called the measure "a comprehensive immigration enforcement bill that addresses the concerns of our communities, constituents and colleagues."

"This updated version gives our local police officers the tools they need to combat illegal immigration, while protecting the civil rights of citizens and legal residents."However, human rights groups are certain to challenge the measure in court, said Joe Rubio, lead organizer for Valley Interfaith Project, a Phoenix-based advocacy group, calling it "an economic train wreck." He added that "Arizona's economic recovery will lag way behind the country's if we keep chasing away our workforce. Where do the legislators think business will find workers?"

The bill in some ways toughens up a situation that the Obama administration had tried to roll back. Under a program known as 287g, some local law enforcement agencies were trained to enforce federal immigration laws by checking suspects' immigration status.

Mr. Arpaio, the Maricopa county sheriff, had been one of the most aggressive enforcers of 287g. However, the Obama administration in recent months has sought to scale back that program, and had reduced the resources it made available to Mr. Arpaio's office and others.

Hopefully, this isn't just "window dressing", and MANY more raids (of illegal invaders) will be forthcoming ASAP!

Immigration agents raid Ariz. van shuttle business

Apr 15 12:41 PM US/Eastern
By BOB CHRISTIE
Associated Press Writer

PHOENIX (AP) - Dozens of federal immigration agents are raiding a Phoenix business that advertises van shuttle services from northern Mexico to cities in Arizona, New Mexico, California, Nevada, Oregon and Washington.

The agents converged on Sergio's Shuttle Thursday morning. Another shuttle service a block away was also apparently a target of the raid, with immigration agents and Phoenix police stationed outside.

A spokeswoman for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement told The Associated Press the raids were part of an "ongoing investigation into allegations of human smuggling," but wouldn't give other details.

A phone call to Sergio's Shuttle was not answered Thursday morning.

I thought this sheriff always had a big ego. He always would be interviewed with women prisoners posing behind him, but I agree with him on this. The morons in Washington are letting this country be taken over. As I said before 99% of immigration should be stopped. That include legal immigration.
