This follows the disturbing trend I have noticed this season of shifting all credit from successful white quarterbacks onto their black teammates.

Manning did not throw any of those touchdowns or lead the Colts to a win - a black Broncos player even says it was Addai, not Manning. It's a direct quote. There you have it. White guys never do anything, ever, in any sport. That's what lots of black athletes think.Edited by: nevada

Manning is recognized by many as the best player in the game. They hate him for that and will not give him the credit he deserves.Manning pretty much runs the offense and dictates to players where they should be, as he often scans thte field and makes instant changes.

Nothing new here. Whites almost always gush when talking about blacks, and blacks are almost always reserved when asked to praise whites. True of all sports and true whether the comments come from players or fans. It might be a little more pronounced right now as racial tensions continue to build in society and as whites make inroads in boxing, basketball and, yes, even a few in football. Maybe they missed it, but Manning actually had more yardage passing than his running back had rushing, unlike Culpepper who, despite scoring 5 TDs, couldn't manage to throw for 1/3 the yards that his back up running back gained on the ground!

But Manning does call the plays and make adjustments - at the line, on the fly. Even more impressive than 'halftime adjustments,' imo. I wonder how many players the Broncos have to leave in coverage in order to avoid getting burned deep, thereby giving the Colts' newly heralded savior room to run the ball?

The Caste System people seem to think quarterback is fairly easy to master, but running back is a much easier position to play well when one has a capable offensive line that executes plays correctly. The main responsibility of the RB is to know the plays and where the holes are supposed to be, find them and run through them with power. Timing and patience are far more important than a 40 time. Doing that alone with a good o-line will ensure that a RB does well in the NFL, which explains how the Colts and Broncos can make so many backs look good,rather thanmystical "loose hips" or some sort of "speed" that no white running backs supposedly possess.

Did anybody notice the Browns used an all white line on sunday? Along with the Patriots that makes two all white lines in one week.

I hadn't thought of the tie-in. That may explain the high degree of stupidity and contempt for Peyton in their comments.

I think Chump Bailey actually believes all that fluff he reads about himself in SI and TSN as being one of the best players in the NFL. He is on my own personal list of the most overrated players in the league along with Vince Young and Reggie Bush.

And for the record, Manning does call the plays. How it works is that Tom Mora will give Manning three plays to choose from, Manning will read the defense and make the best call. He does audibles, fake audibles, blitz pick-ups, you name it. He's the best in the game.
