I believe these letters, the number of Congresspeople who signed them,
and the speed with which they were collected are all good indicators of
how powerful and influential the pro-Israel/Zionist/Jewish lobby is in the US. Strange
that our "representatives" won't voice this kind of support (written or
spoken) for any important domestic issues like making English the official
language, stopping illegal immigration, ending abortion, fixing our vast
economic problems, and opposing socialism, just to name a few. Despite
what a couple of Obama's gophers might say from time to time, the US
will continue to fund, arm, and support Israel and anyone who has a
different opinion won't have influence for very long. These letters tell
me where the power lies in this country, and it is in the Zionist
Israeli lobby.

More than three-quarters of the Senate urged the Obama administration to
stand with our ally Israel.

Over three-quarters of the United States Senate has come together to
sign<a href="http://www.aipac.org/Publications/SourceMaterialsCongressionalAction/Boxer_Isackson_Final_Letter.pdf" target="_blank">a
bipartisan letter</a> to the Obama administration underscoring the
importance of the U.S.-Israel relationship, and laying out the bedrock
support that exists in the United States Congressfor the U.S.-Israel
alliance.The Senate letter, signed by<a href="http://www.aipac.org/Publications/SourceMaterialsCongressionalAction/Signatories_to_Boxer-Isakson_Letter.pdf" target="_blank">76
Senators</a>, follows immediately on the heels of a similar House
letter, signed by more than<a href="http://www.aipac.org/Publications/SourceMaterialsCongressionalAction/3_26_10__Letter_to_Secretary_of_State_re_US_commitment_to_Israeli_Security_and_Middle_East_peace.pdf" target="_blank">three-quarters
of the House of Representatives</a> in less than 72 hours. The House
letter was sent to the Secretary of State with333 signatures.
AIPAC
strongly applauds this enormous outpouring of support for the special
relationship between the United States and Israel, which is rooted in
shared values and common interests, including democracy, tolerance, the
rule of law and the pursuit of peace. The letter comes as the Commander
of the U.S. Central Command, General David Petraeus, told a Washington,
D.C.audience that Israel "is, has been and will be an important
strategic ally of the United States."

Thanks for the Goodnews, Reb! They wouldn't have sent a message like this to the Obama administration if the friendship between the two nations wasn't on the outs as I have posted about numerous times recently. There is a reason Obama has a 4% approval rating in Israel and why Benjamin Netanyahu can't stand the sight of Obama. So Israel is not quite the puppet master you guys have made them out to be over the years. We wouldn't have a Muslim President in the first place if that was the case.Edited by: guest301

We haven't cut our funding to Israel, 301. Just because a few talking heads in the administration make statements they quickly take back doesn't mean the "relationship is on the outs."

Obama isn't going to change the MO regarding Israel because he knows they wield too much power. Too many of his backers are Zionists and Jews for him to risk anything, plus this assumes that Obama actually wants to change the relationship between the US and Israel and I don't even believe that.

There is no way you could convince me that Israel and the Jewish lobby isn't powerful, because no other "friendly" country could get away with doing what Israel did to the USS Liberty, etc., etc.

Your argument won't wash and the rabid support of Israel by the US since before 1948 proves it.

Bulldozing houses, international espionage, missile attacks on civilian targets, a giant hate wall...sounds like "tolerance" and the pursuit of peace to me. These aren't shared values, these are the suicidal values the jew pushes on us while they do whatever they want.

Tell me about it, Run Stuffing. I was thinking the same thing as I read it. What a joke!

Who cares what approval rating anybody has in Israel? The Israeli citizens are just as dumb as most U.S. citizens. Even though no administration has been more Kosher than Obama's we are supposed to believe that he is anti-Israel. What a joke. That's how Obama's Presidency was supposed to be framed. Having pro-Israel actions taken by an obvious Zionist Neocon doesn't work so well - people start scratching their heads. But, pro-Israel actions from a blackman rumored by nutjobs to be muslim is much more tolerable. David Duke laid out this theory long before Obama took office and it's seems to be playing out perfectly.

So Guest, I get that you are pro-Israel. Are you also this obsessed with Ireland and the actions of their government? You are part Irish and at least that country mostly represents your current religion. If not, they why? Why is Israel seemingly so much more important to you than Ireland?

I'm sure the many pawns of the Z.O.G will be at the upcoming AIPAC conference to pledge their commitment to the Zionist agenda (& place it on par with America's priorities).

For anyone who says Obama is Anti-Israel, 2 words: Rahm Emanuel.
