First of all why are the Marines inviting Ortiz when they could have invited Hughes or Liddell? Second, I think the Marines were right to uninvite him because of her. I mean she's a skank for cryin' out loud. Am I alone with this opinion?

I think they were right to uninvite Ortiz after learning Jamison would attend.

Ortiz is probably the most 'popular' star in the UFC right now, among the casual viewing population. His last fight was free on major network television, much 'to do' was made over his 'war' with Shamrock, and he beat TUF sweetheart Forrest Griffin.

Given the push for diversity at every level in this country, I'd have been more suprised had they actually invited Hughes or someone else instead of Ortiz. The only reason they probably didn't invite Anderson Silva is because he is from Brazil.
