Heath Evans FB Patriots: 3/16, 27 carries for 117 yards (4.3)longest run went for 35 yards, got 9 first downs on ground; 7 catches for 34 yards (4.9) and his first NFL TD

Madison Hedgecock FB Rams: 9/16, 1 carry for 2 yards and 7 receptions for 29 yards (4.1)

Mike Karney FB Saints: 7/15 games, 11 rushes for 33 yards (3.0), 1 TD; 15 catches for 96 yards (5.4) and 2 TDs - all career high, most of which game in 1 game

Josh Parry FB Seahawks: 0/8 games, 1 catch for 11 yards

Dan Kreider FB Steelers: 12/16, 1 carry for 5 yards - career low and 8 catches for 62 yards (7.8)used less than season than ever before

John Kuhn RB Steelers: ROOKIE</font> 2 carries for 18 yards, longest for 16, 1 catch for 15 yards

Casey Cramer FB Titans: 7 games, career high 2 catches for 8 yards

David Kircus, Broncos: 16 games, career best 9 catches for 187 yards (20.8), longest for 45 yards, 3 catches over 20 and 1 over 40; returned 2 kicks for 38 yards (19.0) and 6punts for 86 yards, 14.3 yppr, long of 42 yards

Joe Jurevicius, Browns: another let down: 8/13, 40 receptions for 495 yards (12.4) and 3 TDs, caches over 20 yards and 1 over 40 (52)

Ricky Proehl, Colts: 1/2, 3 catches for 30 yards, longest went for 13

Brandon Stokley, Colts: huge disappointment... 1/4, 8 catches for 85 yards (10.6) and 1 TD, longest of 23 yards

Wes Welker, Dolphins: 2/16, 67 catches for 687 yards - career high and second on the team, 1 TD (his first NFL) and 9 catches over 20 yards (lomg of 38); 48 kick returns for 164 (22.2)2 over 40 yards, long for 46; 41 punt returns for 378 yards (9.2) long for 47 yards

Matt Jones, Jaguars: vastly improved in his second season, in spite of QB carousel and their inability to get the ball in hands of their best playmaker... missed two games with injuries, but with only 41 catches led the team in yards and receiving TDs: 41 for 643 (15.7), 4 TDs, 13 catches over 13 yards and 1 over 40 (49)!
if used properly next season he has real chance to get 1K/10 TDs easily. if he can stay healthy, of course

Tim Dwight, Jets: 2/9, 16 catches for 112 yards (7.0 career low by far!) 2 rushes for 28 yards

Mike Furrey, Lions: huge surprise of the season, also the only white player to get over 1000 yards this season and my vote for best story of the season!
started 14 out of 16 games, 98 catches (led the team, second in the NFL!) for 1086 yards, 11.1 ypc, 6 TDs, 9 catches over 20 yards (Lg 31), 1 kick return for 23 yards

John Madsen, Raiders: ROOKIE</font> 1/15, 11 cathces for 146 yards (13.3)and 1 TD. 2 catches over 20 and 1 cath over 40 (57)

Kevin Curtis, Rams: 1/16, 40 catches for 479 yards (12.0), 4 TDs, 7 catches over 20 yards and 1 over 40, longest reception went for 42 yards - all significant drop from a season before (60 rec, 801 yards, 13.4 and 6 TDs); also had 4 carries for 4 yards; returned 9 kicks for 188 yards (20.9). long - 28 yards

Dane Looker, Rams: major disappointment, 16 games, no catches, only 1 carry for 13 yards

Sean Morey, Steelers: 0/16, 2 catches for 29 yards (14.5), 8 kick returns for 202 yards (25.3)long of 75 yards - all stats career best

David Anderson, Texans: ROOKIE</font>9 games, 1 catch for 27 yards and 3 kick returns for 90 yards (30.0), longest of 38

Kevin Walter, Texans: 2/16, 17 receptions for 160 yards (9.4), longest of 15 yards, 1 rush fo 3 yards

Drew Bennett, Titans: 15/16 games, 46 catches for 737 yards (1 shy of last season), 16.0 ypc - career high and 3 TDs, longest of 39 yards, 13 catches over 20 yards

Cory Schlesinger FB Lions: 5/14 games, no carries, 8 catches for 36 yards, his first TD less season since 2000

The local Lions news writer noted that Corey should be looking elsewhere to play (his contract is up) because when the number one back went down the coach did not give him even one carry. Here's a guy who has busted his ass for the team for years, he's a big fan favorite and coach cannot find even one carry for the guy but can use a bunch of black scrubs off of the practive squad that sucked when they played. Sad.

I want to congratulate YOU on an amazing season. I've put some stats together here and there to make a point, and it's a lot of work. I have to commend you for putting this together week in and week out. I really appreciated the fact I could come to the site and check on how all the white players were doing without having to do it myself. The year end summary is amazing.

I hope you're able to do it next year. Your weekly summaries have become a staple of Caste Football.
