Is it just me or is there a new fashionable trend of having a Defensive end that was born in Africa. I can't think of the names off the top of my head, but it seems in the college and pro ranks they all play defensive end.

Good point, KJV1. I have noticed this too in recent years. Certain colleges seem to do it more than others and more than the NFL, but it does seem to be happening in an increasing frequency.

The good DEs in the league get no praise, guy like Schobel, Vanden Bosch, AaronSmith, Justin Smith, and Wistrom (I know he hasn't played outstanding this year, but I think he gets a lot of attention from opposing teams.)

Adewale Ogunlye of the Bears out of Indiana U. There is also a draft prospect out of Indiana U. this season with an African Name at DE.

Aaron Kampman is by far the better Defensive End for the Packers and how many fans even know he exists playing opposite the over-hyped "KGB". He hasn't been effective in 3 or 4 seasons and he is still fawned over by every announcing crew, well at least while they have pulled their heads out of Farves Ass for a breath.

It should be interesting to see how much play Kampman gets as a Free Agent this offseason. I think he is the kind of player that NFL talent evaluators should be aware of even if the fans are not. If he is treated like a cur then at least we know why(te).

African D ends sounds like my high school. Tambi Hali from Penn State might go in the first round, he is realy a good player. Matthias Kiwanuka is greatly over rated, he got all of his sacks in three games ageinst weak teams. So far in the (east west game)? hes been geting owned. Of coarse during every T.V. broadcast of their games their story was to be told12 times.

What about O.C. Human urine. His name is mentioned at least fifty
times (even when he is not envolved in a play) during games. I
believe he plays for the Giants.

Announcing crew with their heads in Farves Ass? WTF?

Is that the same crew that has been pushing him to retire every time he makes a mistake? The only Packers ass they have been in is another african: Samkon Gado

Come on. If you can't admit that nearly every NFL announcer (especially the Top crews) think Farve walks on water then you either must be a Packer fan or not very observant... But I don't want to hijack this thread.

How about Eric Ogobogu of the Cowboys. Never done jack on the field but was on a national commercial for Under Armour.

This debate was already done to death here once.

I think you are wrong though, Favre might have once had that kind of support but now all the media does is ask him when is he going to retire.

I wouldn't call that "walking on water."

yeah Akbar out of SD State, played DE for Raiders, now is with Chargers

Yeah, I remember watching Akbar play for Oakland one game last year (on TV of course). Thanks for refreshing my memory, backrow.
