TORONTO - The investigation into a deadly shooting rampage that set off a mass panic at Toronto's Eaton Centre focused Sunday on one man police said they believe was behind the brazen attack.
Police said little about the gunman, but confirmed their initial impressions that Saturday's shooting - which killed one and injured several others - was a targeted act.

"One idiot with a gun on a Saturday afternoon in downtown Toronto does not speak to the state of the city... please do not gauge the city on what we saw yesterday," acting deputy chief Jeff McGuire told a news conference Sunday.

A 25-year-old male was killed and seven other people were injured in Toronto Saturday evening during what the city's police chief called a "wanton and incredibly dangerous" shooting at the Eaton Centre shopping mall.

The eight victims -- four female and four male -- include one 13-year-old boy who sustained a gunshot wound and is in critical condition, reported police.

The shooter has been described as a "tall black man" and has not yet been arrested.

Virtually no mention has been made in the "politically correct" Canadian media about the shooter being black.

Funny thing,

I actually work in this mall.

I work in fashion and I manage one of the fashion stores in this mall.

Thankfully I had the day off work and was not in the mall when the shooting occurred.

It occurred in the food court at Dundas St..

The food court is several levels downstairs, but on ground level there is an H&M (clothing store) which is always surrounded by thugs, gangsters, and drug dealers.

Sh1tty area so Im not surprised it happened.

Canadian media not reporting he's black = Pathetic

Thankfully when he gets caught the media will have no choice but to cover it. So everyone will get a look at the reality of crime (black perpetrator killing 1 downtown and wounding 7).

There is a chance that had I been working that day I wouldve literally been in the food court when the shooting occurred.

This shoot out is going to be extremely costly for existing businesses.

No one will want to come to Eaton Centre for a good 2 or 3 months.

No surprise that a Negro is behind this. Their hormonal imbalances make them more aggressive, impulsive, and irrational. And their smaller brains means they are less intelligent and unable to comprehend the notion that crime is wrong and leads to punishment. Negroes are not intelligent enough to think that far ahead.

Probably one Somalian black killing another Somalian black over 50 dollars drug money.

When I was visiting Toronto, people told me to stay away from the crime-ridden Jane-Finch corridor and be careful to avoid Jamaicans in the downtown area.

I've actually heard other blacks in Toronto say Jamaicans are bad-natured.

There has been some speculation in the media that the shootings were gang-related, but most of the people shot were innocent bystanders.

Yes Jane/Finch is the highest crime area in Toronto, and its essentially all black perpetrators in that area. Other areas which are bad include Rexdale/Malton, Brampton, Dundas/Sherbourne area, and parts of Scarborough.

Yes, apparently the victim, Ahmed Hassan is well known to police as a gangster and criminal. Because of Ahmed's known criminal and gang activities, they feel there is a good chance its gang or drug related.

He was clearly the target of the shooting and was killed at the scene.

However, the media tries to use the fact it was a targeted killing to somehow lessen the extent of injuries to bystanders.

Its almost like the media is saying: It was a targeted killing, so yes its bad that innocent people were hurt, but its not the shooter's fault.

That is 100% WRONG WAY to present crime in the media. It takes the killer off the hook.

Worst part about this case is that the Negro who did the killing will get 20 yrs in jail then be released. Probably in 15 yrs he'll be back on the street dealing drugs. Id say theres a good chance he even murders again.

Personally as a white man, my girlfriend is IRANIAN and in the past Ive dated many Arab girls.

Its funny how in immigrant communities, Asians, Arabs, Persians, Filipinos etc all become successful in Canada despite being from impoverished areas and facing the same "discrimination" as blacks.

Even in a pool of minorities (ie nonwhites), blacks manage to perpetually underachieve and dominate crime.

The fact is that blacks are evolutionary-behind, and their smaller brains and hormonal imbalances make them a burden to the rest of society.

Any discrimination blacks face is also faced by Asians, Muslims, Latinos etc, yet these groups still manage to be successful in Toronto. Yet blacks constantly underachieve and gravitate to murder, drugs, rape etc.

The Eaton center is near ground zero for low level criminal scum like the shooter and the deceased. The mall in the past has had problems with thugs of all races attacking shoppers as they left the mall on the north end where there is a park and an old historical church. The problems with these thugs was so bad that the police department set up an "information booth" on the north end of the mall which became a permanently manned booth. The big difference between these thugs and this idiot was that they weren't armed and stupid enough to continue robbing and beating up people when the "information booth" was established.


This whole intersection has slowly been gentrified and has slowly weeded out the low level thugs from the area as the old pool halls and arcades, head shops and adult bars, porn shops and massage parlours have been closed down to higher rent and zoning ordinance changes in the last 20 years. This area was much scummier and scarier 25 years ago.

Shock of shocks the shooter was employed by the city of Toronto as an after school helper to the day cares that the city runs in various schools. This while having a record for violent offenses.
