The excuse that was made for the USA team losing in the olympics was that they were not a team that practiced together. Any NBA team would easily win - so we've heard. A small european team just beat the Toronto Raptors. That excuse seems to be a losing arguement. Here's an article on that game:
what wonderful news! i have come to hate the NBA, because of the style of play which they endorse. only a handful of teams are even watchable. that being said, Maccabi is not a tiny team. they have won 3 of the last 5 Euroleague titles, and many compare them to the New York Yankees of major league baseball. however it was still quite the upset, since they only had two guys on their roster to have any NBA experience.
you talk about egg on the NBA's face! ha! i hope they didn't get any on their now-required business casual attire.
