Of Sports Illustrated.com's top 20 college players for this year's draft, Andrew Bogut is the only white one, listed at number three, and he of course is Australian. So while the U.S. continues to struggle against white teams in international competition, and while Europeans and other non-American whites are developed in their own countries to play in the NBA against American blacks, American whites still somehow aren't able to compete. Must be something in the air in this country. . .
 
Or what is lacking in the air these days "Freedom"

That's the first time I've heard about anyone putting Bogut out
of the top two.Who do they have ahead of him? Marvin
Williams is one, I presume.
 
On the espn online poll they have bogut as 1 then williams then paul. In my opinion i think bogut is the best and have said that all year. He draws comparisons to tim duncan who in most opinions is the best player in the NBA.
 
Are there any other white player projected to go in the first round. I know deiner and mcnamarra have to be in their. Also the russian guy is suppose to be pretty good.
 
Sports Illustrated? Who cares. Any publication or website
dedicated exclusively to the draft has Bogut No. 1.
 
I'd say freedom is very noticeably absent from the air in America these days. Bogut is awesome, I don't really pay attention to all the mags.
 
I was listening to ESPN radio this morning. Here are some snippets for your amusement:



First pick in the draft should be Marvin Williams. He is more athletic
and possesses a high "basketball IQ (wtf?) and good work ethic (first
round pick on a player who didn't even start on his college team?)



First pick in the draft should be Chris Paul. He is very athletic and
has performed in the clutch in big games (he's barely over 6' tall.)



But Andrew Bogut? Not worthy of the top pick. Why, you ask?



Well, you guessed it - he's lacking in athleticism. He lacks the
lateral movement required to guard players in the NBA (i.e. hip
flexibility?)

With Utah having the number 6 pick in the nba draft,don't
be suprised if they try to trade up to get Bogut at any
where from 1 to 3.Bogut would fit it in Utah and be
allowed to become a All Star.He could be their center
for the next 10 years.I can't see a better fit for him
at this point.Let's hope the Jazz can get him.
 
David Lee has moved into the first round of the latest ESPN Insider Mock Draft. They have him going 28th to San Antonio. From all indications this year's draft will be blacker in the first round than the past two. This particular mock draft has just six Euros and Lee is the only white American.
 
Man, I hope its better than 7. How many whites did the last 2 years draft have?
 
I read that too a couple of days ago. What would make a coach do that? It usually reflects well on the coach if his player is selected number 1. Something fishy going on here.
 
Posted elsewhere I know but his traducing of Bogut is in character when you consider that this is the coach who said Utah's program couldn't compete for a national championship because it couldn't recruit the quality of athlete needed. This was said the week his Utah team was in the national championship game!
 
Sufsider,Rick Majerus has often been the guest on our local talk shows. He can be humorus at times but will definitely belittle whites while at the same time being careful not to offend other groups.One host always blasts tall white players. He says it's a mistake to draft a white player. Because of that sentiment which was echoed in the press, Milwaukee drafted Robert ( tractor, fat slob) Traylor when they could have had Dirk Nowitzke. Since then he has amended his beliefs by stating only draft a white player if you can't pronounce his last name( European). Traducing? I had to look that one up, great definition. Edited by: Bart
