Hall of Famer
Michael Heintzman class of 2010, of Fayetteville High, was named the co-MVP of the Vype select7-on-7 tournament this weekend. i won't bore you with the details, but he lit up the scoreboard.
here are some links to his performance: link 1, link 2, and link 3.
Heintzman, who plays for Fayetteville High in Arkansas' highest classification of football, isapproximately 5-11, 200-pounds andwas a tailback for Fayetteville High last season, but he was playing the "A" receiverposition in the tourney. idon't know if the position change is permanent or not, but in Fayetteville's wide-open spread they usually put their best athlete at the inside "A" receiver spot. Heintzman, who is widely recognized for his speed,is the team's best athlete so a permanent switch is a possibility.
Fayetteville's standard formation is 4 wideouts and a running back, and regardless of where he plays he is expected to be the featured guy in the offense.
here's his junior year highlight film, and as you can see when he gets into the open field he is gone!
defenses should be seeing a lot of Heintzman's backside this year as he blows by them.
