Memphis Grizzlies 3 white starters

Don't know if everyone realizes that the Grizzlies have been starting Gasol, Miller and Milicic for most games this year, and when Milicic was injured had Navarro starting as well. They are under .500 right now but many of their losses have been close. Go Grizzlies.

I look at the Grizzly box score everyday and hope they have a good playoff run in them. The western conference is so tough though.

Englishman..I think you meant Milicic, Jaric is a point guard for the Timberwolves. He's been playing better this week too and he credits it to the supermodel he is dating.

actually, i wrote that the Grizzlies would be starting those three white athletes before the season began. it's on the Caste Football homepage as part of the NBA Preview article.

Milicic has gotten a lot better since he was drafted. He was drafted way too early. The new rule to keep young players out of the draft has been a success in my opinion.

If Mike Miller were black and having the kind of year he is having, you would see him all over tv and magazines. Still he is not. He is white. And unless you really look for it you will not find much written about him.

If Memphis had Steve Nash, J.J. Redick and versatile big-man Troy Murphy, they would present match-up problems and Pau Gasol would be doing a lot better.

Mike Miller is very good, but they need more Whites in order to play "Euro Ball" (yes people, we have various styles of OUR own)!!

Let's not underestimate what White firepower can do for a team!


Imagine, Nash to Gasol, Nash to Miller, Nash to Murphy, Nash to Redick. That would be a sweet White brotherhood!

It would be utopia, no question. Troy Murphy is extremely underrated in this league and always has been. Any black player who gets 30 minutes a game and averages a near double double night in and night out would get alot more acclaim like Murphy did with Golden State.
