The other big fight besides Wlad's this Saturday is Mayweather v Guerrero. I sense an upset or at least a very competive fight between the two. As always, I hope that Gayweather finally gets beat. But I have to admit he can fight. Plus he has great stamina.

Guerrero has youth and a great right hand jab. If he can constantly stick it in floyds mug and not get tired, he has real chance to score the upset.

We shall see. The last 2 weeks we have seen 2 marquee black fighters get beat. Hopefully floyd's O goes. 3's a charm with him finally tasting an official loss.

Guerrero looks white.

What does does this one start? I think it's PPV. Maybe there'll be a stream.

I kinda like his old man too. He reminds me of someone I know -

Kind of feeble one-arm pushups, through!

Personally, I am much more interested in the Klitschko/Pianeta fight tonight. I don't think I will be watching this Guerrero/Mayweather fight tonight, as I'm going out with friends, and perhaps the next day I will catch it on youtube or something. I'm much more a fan of the European scene than the American scene, I prefer the fights and fighters from UK/Germany.

Mayweather is a great fighter, there's no denying that. From the early 2000's on to today, some of the most successful boxers include The Klitschko Brothers, Mayweather, Calzaghe, Pacquiao, and such, these are the guys who were really the best of the best.

I do agree with what one poster notes above - that Mayweather is very careful in who he fights - that is absolutely true. Many of Mayweather's "best" fights have come against 36 and 38 year old "has beens" who were near retirement. He avoided the Russian Tszyu (who knocked Judah out worse than anyone in his career), he avoided Mosley and De La Hoya until they were much older, he also avoided a young Miguel Cotto and by the time he fought Cotto he was shot.

All that said, I feel Mayweather has been slipping in his past few fights, he`s not as fast as he used to be. No one can keep their skills forever. Guerrero is a very tough guy and I do believe he will make the fight very close. An upset is not out of the question. Guerrero is a very tough guy and has some solid wins against solid competition.

Prediction: Close Decision type fight! (Won`t pick a winner, just say it will be a very close, perhaps controversial decision)

Guerrero looks white.

Yes, he looks very white and I would certainly consider him white. I`m sure many others here would as well! (In fact, there may even already be a thread or 2 about him on this site!) :)

These guys weigh 147 pounds. It's like a fight in a junior high lunch room. Between two girls. I think there are **** fights where the roosters weigh more. Who cares what these little boys do in a ring? Isn't it generally considered that an average fighter weighing 20-30 pounds more then these shrimps would KO them in a fight? In an era where the average weight of a women is over 150 pounds isn't watching these midgets fight kind of silly?

These fighters when not fighting professionally walk around at 160 to 175 lbs. The day of the fight they will weigh close to/or over 160 lbs. I am sure they would kick the stuffing out of 98% of the people disparging them.

Normally I would say that Gayfeathers' opponents have a slim to none chance of winning but he has been visibly slipping for the last two years. He was stunned by Mosley who was 38?? and he was even up with the "shot" Cotto until the championship rounds. But Guerrero is a blown up smaller fighter who really isn't a full fledged welterweight. I suspect we will see more signs of an aging fighter but he pulls this out fairly easily maybe 8 to 4 in rounds. If Guerrero was a natural welterweight then an upset would seem more feasible. Ps Guerrero's pops resembles this famous comedian.....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oF5LKRNVzOQ

I doubt "The Ghost" wins but I'll sure be rooting for him. Amazing how many of the DWF's openly support a violent racist like Mayweather. You go over to fightnews and hes like god to these idiots.

If Ghost doesn't knock Pretty boy out he cant possibly win. The crooked boxing establishment cant let Floyd lose. They need him to see Calzaghes 46-0, and Marcianos 49-0, so that a negro can retire with an undefeated record like those two all time greats did.

I think it was Jose Luis Castillo who beat Gayfeather some years ago, not once, but twice. Of course Gayboy was given the win.

Certainly Castillo v Mayweather I, Castillo was robbed big time. The rematch, however, Floyd dominated and boxed circles around Castillo for a UD.

Like I said earlier, if Robert can stick his excellent right jab in floyd's face and constantly step to the right then throw his good left cross, Robert's chances are good. I hope he knows to carry this off, stamina is of the utmost importance. Mayweather's stamina is unreal in the closing rounds.

I only way Guerrero (that should mean warrior) is either to swarm and overwhelm Mayweather as someone like Calzaghe did, or by repeated knock downs that the judges cannot overlook. Those are the only ways he can win.

Follow the money trail and you'll know why...

What a bore that was. The negro should have been penalized for his constant holding on the inside and all he did was keep running away all night. Guerrero should have just stood there and waited for him to come to him instead of knocking himself out trying to chase him.

Robert gave a good account of himself. Its just that Mayweather is still good. Great defensive skills with lighting quick right hand. I had Robert winning 3 rounds. He attacked the body with great shots. Mayweather withstood them and never wilted.

In boxing for the most part, absent crooked judges or refs, the castesystem gets no play here. The better fighter wins. In the last decade it pains me to say but Mayweather has the ability much like Super Joe Calzadge to make adjustments and win. I suspect the drum beat will start for Mayweather vs Canelo Alvarez.

I have found that when talking boxing with DWFs the Mayweather/Calzaghe comparison is very useful. Ive made many of them stutter, and stumble over their words trying to argue. Ive had fanboys send me death threats in my inbox when using this comparison.

Joe Calzaghe is the most hated HOF boxer on the internet. Any video that features Calzaghe is full of comments that degrade, and discredit him. Theres a whole army of pathetic Calzaghe haters out there. When I engage them in debate to try and defend Joes legitimate greatness its always the same hard headed silliness they spew.

The thing is that every reason they give me for why they hate Calzaghe (fought older guys, fought in his home country too much, didnt knock guys out cold, was a scumbag outside the ring, ducked dangerous opposition etc.) can be turned around on them by comparing to Mayweather, who they absolutely worship, and make excuses for.

I would like to see Alvarez get a shot at Mayweather in the future, I think 1-2 more fights and he will be as ready as he will ever be. Alvarez is a decent technical boxer, he's not undersized for the division like Guerrero, he isn't rash, his timing and reflexez are good and has the power to trouble/make Mayweather uncomfortable.

I think at times Guerrero stalled with Mayweather, overcompensating for the counter shots he would throw back, which made things even worse. I think someone who can throw caution to the wind with a solid chin and power has a shot at Mayweather, who has no power anyway
