Is this the same guy that I'm hearing some people say will be the GOP candidate for president in 2012? I'm not a prude but having to fly all the way to Argentina for some strange is beyond me.

I hope he payed for that trip himself.

This is actually kind of a shame because Sanford was a very Libertarian minded Republican and we all know very few of those exist. Now his political career is surely over. Other than Ron Paul, Sanford is probably the only other viable politician to challenge Obongo in a few years.

Sanford was the last govenor to accept the stimulus package money. He only did so because of immense pressure put on him by party members and so forth. I liked that he realized the whole "stimulus" package was a sham.

That's why it's sad to see this guy who actually at times stood for something have a huge personal failing like this. The liberal MSM will destroy any family values politician who is caught engaging in adultery. It makes you wonder why any politician would run on such a family values platform when absolute perfection is expected. If only perfect noble statesman are allowed to inspire others to nobilty then soon we will have nobody at all talking about nobility, values, integrity and so forth. That being said, he probably needs to step down and take care of his first responsibilty, his family.
