Bullet hits Lou Dobbs' NJ home with wife nearby

WANTAGE, N.J. (AP) - Police in New Jersey are trying to determine who fired a bullet that struck CNN commentator Lou Dobbs' home as his wife stood nearby. State police Sgt. Stephen Jones says Dobbs' wife and driver were outside the home Oct. 5 when they heard the gunshot. Jones says the bullet didn't penetrate the siding and fell to the ground outside.

Dobbs mentioned the bullet earlier this week on CNN and his radio show.

Dobbs says he had been receiving threatening phone calls for weeks. On his radio show, he connected the gunshot to his advocacy for a crackdown on illegal immigration and to his opponents' rhetoric.

The home is on a farm in Wantage, about 50 miles northwest of New York City.

It is small-game hunting season, but no hunters were seen in the area.

Lou Dobbs is the best thing that ever happened to CNN. I admire his stand against illegal immigration and his stand to protect U.S borders. Let's hope police can track down the nut who is putting his life in danger. Fox New's Glen Beck may have to worry about his safety also- with his anti NWO- pro-family values- tough on Obama socialism rhetoric.

From what I have heard, Glen Beck has round the clock security. It's only a matter of time before someone takes out a Beck, Dobbs, Coulter etc... God forbid. This story about Dobbs should be getting more airtime.

They are both political scumbags but black political scum bags get away with more stuff than white political scumbags. The only difference being that Clinton might have a very jaded conscience about his bad deeds and Obama has no conscience to speak of.

Sheriff's safety checked after Dobbs scare

The security of an Arizona sheriff who has aggressively cracked down on illegal immigration is under review after a shooting scare involving CNN commentator Lou Dobbs.

A bullet struck Dobbs' New Jersey home on Oct. 5. On his radio show last week, Dobbs connected the gunshot to his advocacy for a crackdown on illegal immigration.

New Jersey authorities said they were investigating and had not identified a suspect. They noted that small game hunting season is under way.

Maricopa County (Ariz.) sheriff's spokesman Ryan Lee said the agency is concerned for Sheriff Joe Arpaio's safety considering that both Arpaio and Dobbs are extremely vocal about their stance on illegal immigration. Lee also pointed to protests that Arpaio's media interviews have incited.

Arpaio's security detail is looking at the security provided to the sheriff to determine whether more security is warranted.

Speaking of Dr. Paul- even though I was a fan of McCain (the 2000 McCain mostly), I would have voted for Dr. Paul over Bush if he ran as an Independent in 2004..if I lived in America that is. That's a lot of "ifs" lol.

With the growing uneasiness with Obama's far left policies across the board and more cable news reporters (like Dobbs and Beck) tackling the tough issues, Dr. Paul might get a shot at a comeback in 2012. This is especially if the Republicans put out "more of the same" Bush clone Neo-Cons in the primaries. If Dr. Paul doesn't get the Republican nomination, he could run as an Independent. Running against Obama and a Bush clone Republican, Dr. Paul gets my vote! Just thought I'd cheer you guys up by letting you know the "populist" on the site may end up voting for Paul in 2012 "if" I'm not in Canada.
