Line versus Burkhead

I was just wondering who might rush for more yards this season. Barring injury I think Line will have an off year and Burkhead runs for over 1,600. I am never right in my guesses but I think Line will be a target this year after 2 great seasons and he will not break a thousand.

target after two seasons? GTFO with that logic. He was a target right after his breakout game against TCU in 2010. Last year team's had an entire season worth of footage on him. He still rushed for 1200+ yards and 17 touchdowns in 10 games.

One of the reasons I have Line as a high recruit is because he is someone who is always targeted and still has sucess. Unlike Marcus Lattimore who benifits greatly from the the bootleg option system and having a running quarterback who can also throw, Line doesn't have that. Even the head coach last year said Line helps this team out as much as a decoy as he does as a runner.

Burkhead probably won't have the same production he had last year even though he's become more talented after working hard to improve his game even more, especially shooting the hole quicker.

There's been a lot of talk about "lessening his load" by Pelini, the OC, and the RB coach this year. Pelini even said he expects the 4th string RB to get some carries this Saturday and all season long. Also, they said they want to involve Abdullah more to give them "a change of pace" in the running game.

Also their goal is a 50/50 pass/run ratio this year as opposed to a 30/70 pass/run ratio last year. All these things considered, it doesn't bode as well for him this year as last year. Unfortunately, my expectations for him have been lessened this year because of these developments.
