whites are often labeled as "over-achievers" or "high-motor guys" who "never take a play off" and "are smart enough to compensate for his deficiencies."
while those are of course good qualities to possess, it demeans the true talents of white athletes. however, i would make an argument that EVEN IF the white athlete weren't as gifted as his black counterpart, he shouldn't be able to compete by out-working the black with "real" talent unless the blacks were lazy and stupid... but aren't we told that blacks aren't REALLY lazy? it's just a negative stereotype... right?
apparently not.
Florida State wide receiver Decody Bagg (replace the B with F for site censor)recently admitted in an interview that he took plays off (that means he is lazy) in FSU's opening game loss to Clemson. click the link, which goes to an FSU message board. and on it, you can click the link to the video of the interview... also, it is readily apparent thatthe aforementioned afro-afaletedoesn't put the "scholar" in scholarship athlete.
