Last night I watched this appauling cheap boxing programme called KOTV (I think it's American cuz it didn't have anything on British boxing although the narrator guy was English but I think he was just dubbed over the original narration). Anyways When it started I was thinking 'yea this is gonna be good' but god gamn I was so wrong. It showed highlights of 2 fights between black v black, a black guy beating some awful white boxer, and a black guy beating some Mexican, all of whome I'd never heard of or thought I slightly recognised their names (basically unknowns).
All the fights took place in the USA and looked liked irrelevant undercard fights. Things get even worse! They interviewed Jeff Lacy and Manfredo! Two rubbish boxers who Calzaghe beat with ease (as we all know). Then they capped off the show with what they called 'a classic fight'. It was Corrie Sanders losing to frikin Rahman. They could've showed Maskaev Rahman, that was the best KO ever! There wasn't one slightly positive thing regarding a white boxer in the whole programme, it was truly awful to watch. This is evidence that no matter how much whites dominate boxing the media will still try as hard as possible to make out otherwise. Talk about discrimination
