It's time for Kon Knueppel to have his own thread! The Charlotte Hornets forward broke the NBA rookie record for 3-pointers made in a single season, February 26th, hitting his 207th 3-pointer in just 59 games! He surpassed the previous record set by Keegan Murray of 206. He has a total of 209. He has 20 more games to add to the record.
It seems he has moved ahead of Cooper Flagg for ROY as well. Flagg has been side-lined and has missed 5 straight games and no certainty of his return from a mid-foot sprain.
Knueppel is now averaging 19.4 ppg/ 5.4 reb/3.5 asst. He has scored 1,146 points so far this season!
Flagg- 20.4 ppg/6.8reb/4.1 asst. He has scored 999 points.

Kon is doing pretty well for having his affleticism challenged in the Draft process! Absolutely obliterating this rookie 3pt record! He has a shot at 300!

I truly did not think Kon was an elite NBA talent. He’s literally the next gen Klay Thompson. And, I haven’t heard a single complaint about his defense.
