Thoughts on this fight? My prediction is Stipe gets KO'd with first heavy shot Jones lands, I say this as Stipe's chin isn't what it used to be and he gets clipped more than enough in a fight. The only way he wins is to get Jones on the mat and keep him there with alot of wrestling, ground and pound, assuming he can get past Jones reach....

I hate Jones with a passion but I think he will KO Stipe.

I agree....
Shades of Mayweather V PacMan.

Fan of Stipe but he’s been inactive and fear he’s aged out. Hope I’m wrong, can’t stand Jones and thought he lost vs Gus way back when. He had a time as a Top P4P but that was also quite some time ago.

I think he's more likely to get decisioned or even subbed, I just hope he can Randy Couture it and land some heavy shots on Jones.

I also think Aspinall would KO Jones very quickly, Pavlovich hits alot harder than Jones and Aspinall took Pavlovich's best shot then KO'd Pavolvich... there is no way Jones fights Tom.

They're both past their primes, old, and rusty, so I have no idea what to expect. I don't think either of these guys have fought since I learned how to pirate the PPVs. The race war fights always have some appeal, though.

Dana White has a man-crush on Jon Jones, and propping up the lore of a black fighter as the GOAT helps keep the UFC in line with other American pro sports. UFC is owned now by Endeavor, which also owns WWE. Just pointing that out.

I've seen some fast stoppages called and a few wonky scorecards, but overall, fights seem difficult to throw (way more than boxing, for example). It seems like the natural storylines (and the chalk betting lines) are that Jones retires Stipe, then Aspinall retires Jones. Everyone involved makes a lot of money. So, I'll predict that happens.
