Ithought I'd bring this post over here since we now have a new place for it.Now then,my rant is for Joe Calzaghe,whom a previous poster claims is a nothing and hasn't fought anybody.Joe has beaten former world champs such as Chris Eubank,Robin Reid,Richie Woodhall and Charles Brewer.Calzaghe's beating of Byron Mitchell came right after Mitchell lost his tin to Sven Ottke in a close disputed split decision.Now understand this Joe Calzaghe stopped Byron Mitchell in 2 round,while Ottke needed a full 12 rounds to get a hometown victory over Mitchell.Can you see why Sven totally avoided Calzaghe?Granted Joe didn't look great against Kabary Salem,but he still won an easy decision.Look out for Joe Calzaghe in 2005,brother.

I would love to see Calzaghe matched up with Roy Jones jr. now. If you have followed sport news Jones was involved with the guy who was selling Barry Bonds his steroids and actually tested positive for the substance after a bout. Since that bust Jones has lost every fight. I think Calzaghe might take him now that he isn't juicing.

Just a few months ago Joe pulled out of a match with Glencoffe Johnson . Joe also pulled out of matches with Hopkins and RJJ and failed to unify his divisions.





Joe will TALK about making great matches but will never actually make them. Instead he will just beat some bum and keep his ''undefeated'' record.

No Jones has actually fought Good to Great fighters.


Hopkins Griffin Toney Harding McCallum are a hundred times better then anybody Joe has ever fought.

Calzaghe is at leasy still undefeated. True, he's not fought all-time greats, but neither did Jones. RJJ was the epitom of overhyped!

Hopkins Toney Hill fighters who will make it to the hall of fame when they retire that three all time greats that RJJ fought and beat ad to that Griffin Harding Tarver 1st time Lucas Gonzalez good fighters and you see the difference between RJJ and Slappy Joe.

No you are mistaken im not a journeyman boxer just coming to collect a paycheck . Therefor i am clearly not an opponent Slappy Joe's management would choose.


Most modern greats have unified their divisions


Tzyu Hopkins RJJ DLH Trinidad the ones that haven't have either moved up to other divisions or are content to simply defend their portion of the title against bums.


Joe C is content to defend his title against bums but lately the bums are starting to get a little to strong for him. When you cant beat the bums your supposed to beat you know your a piece of crap.

Yeah, it was easier for RJJ to steroid up then to steroid down. He never weighed 200. He lost 18 pounds to fight tarver. It was almost a full year between his last victory (which he weighed 175) and his loss. Obvously the weight was not the problem. He just finally "stepped up" a little, and got beat by one of Ottke victims. Ottke wouldnt fight Joe Calzaghe. RJJ wasnt hurt by losing the weight, because he beat Tarver first. Next fight, he weighed the same, and got belted out in 2!


Calzaghe has already beaten Mitchell, Brewer, Veit in 1,Sheika, Reid, and Eubank. Who do ou want him to fight?

Was Hopkins also a weak MW ? but truthfully RJJ does'nt deserve to be ranked high among the mws since he did'nt stay there for long. And yes the HW division is pretty bad if a bum like Ruiz is a top 5 HW at the least then the division is in bad shape
