Panthers HC Ron Rivera thinks both No. 1 overall pick Cam Newton and Jimmy Clausen could see time at quarterback this season.
"Would we use both and could we?" Rivera said. "Yes." Clausen turned in an up-and-down performance in the Panthers' preseason debut on Saturday, eliciting "Cam" chants early on from the home crowd. However, Newton was also uneven, and though he's a good bet to take the most snaps this season, Clausen will surely get on the field at some point, if not in Week 1.
