First, the previous night's game was postponed, a game that (rookie phenom) Jeremy Hellickson was supposed to start. Jeter was at 2,998 hits, so it was certainly possible that Hellickson would've had to "live in infamy" if he allowed Jeter's 3,000th hit.. probably wouldn't have been a HR though!

So, they play the next day and start this "David Price guy".. and Jeter launches a HR for #3,000.. it was only Jeter's 3rd HR of the season! It begs the question, why isn't the MSM ribbing Mr. Price? Why has that "pitching angle" been almost totally ignored and erased? Why does Price get the "kid-glove treatment?"

Well, as it turns out, Mr. Price is a "great black hope!" Why is he a hope? As a starting pitcher, he just hasn't been a "big game pitcher".. and it kind of goes back to his Vandy days. In a big game duel, featuring a good offense on the other side and a quality opposing pitcher, Price hasn't proven reliable and can't be counted on. However, he still has been proclaimed a "superstar" by the MSM. The MSM holds him up as "bonafide" and "reliable."

So, now, after Jeter abused him (on his way to going 5-5 against Tampa pitching), the MSM is "protecting/shielding" David Price. Their "prodigy" - that IMO was never one - showed again that he's "non-clutch" as a starter. Just imagine if a White man had allowed a HR for Jeter's 3,000th hit, let alone a darn slap-single for his 3,000th! That's all we need to ask ourselves....

Did anybody read the crazy story of the IRS pursuing the fan for the gratuities that the Yankees gave him. Meanwhile the guy is supposedly in debt up to his ears in college loans. This stories reminds of the twilight zone episode where a genie grants a struggling store keeper 3 wishes and he asks for a million dollars. The man gives away 50K to friends and the government takes away 950K and leaves the store keeper with 5 dollars........

Anybody know whether NYY postponed Hellickson's would-be start at the slightest hint of a downpour, so that Jeter would face the half-brutha Price the next day? IOW was this sheer manipulation?
