This weekend is the long awaited Italian National Champs. With Collio just running a 10.06, I'm sure he will be as confident as ever. I'm hoping Collio, Cerutti and DeGregario can all go sub 10.15 at the least. One of these guys just might go 10.00 flat or sub 10 if we have the right conditions. Good luck to all the italian stallions!

On a side note, it is also the weekend for around 5 other countrys nat'l champs including Poland. Will Darius Kuc ever return to form?

this should be interesting. I hope Collio ride the high of his PR to another PR & win.

as for Poland, Kuc needs to step it up this year. that kid showed some much talent. what happened?

Fabio needs to p.b. bad. If not, his season is only barely better than Craigs. So much talent and very little to no results to back it up. He was incredible indoors taking the silver medal at the Euro Indoor Champs. I want him to excel outdoors.

I would love to see these 3 guys all p.b. in the finals and go to Berlin with more confidence than they have ever had. Collio has to be the favorite at the moment but I'm still picking Cerutti to win the nat'l champs. Either way I'm happy as I like all three of their top guys.

Cerutti is probably the most talented. Collio is hot. And Di Gregorio is a good finisher and starter. I have no idea who will win, but I wish them all luck. I like Collio the most.

I would love to see Cerutti drop a PB, but I do feel Collio is going to steal the show. you never know!

It seems that Cerutti pulled up in the semis of the Italian National Championships with some sort of calf injury.

Both DiGregorio and Cerutti did not run in the final.
Collio won in 10.27, with 2nd place well back in 10.47.
What a shame that the 3 of them didn't go head-to-head.

Congrats to Simone. What a blow to Italy however. Will this keep those guys from being allowed to compete in Berlin if they heal in time? That would be devastating. DiGregorio is already 28 years of age. Time is not on his side. I feel bad for Fabio as well because his outdoor season has been average at best.

Well maybe it's fitting. Collio has been the face of Italy Sprinting for around a decade of so. He deserves to have the spotlite. I hope he can go out with a bang. Good luck in Berlin Simone.

thats a real shame. I hope they still get selected for the WC.

Good news guys. All three will be running the individual 100 in Berlin. They named the team today. I just hope that Cerutti and DiGregorio can get healthy fast!

At least a little good news with all of the weird injuries this year. I'm still bummed that JayConn and Pick won't be running other than maybe the Relay.
