Beterbiev's amateur fights with Usyk were really pretty close despite Usyk's size advantage (he fought him as a heavyweight). At least one of them could have been called a draw. Beterbiev is the real deal and has been a very avoided fighter. Pound for pound he has one of the hardest punches in boxing. He would beat Kovalev, probably kill Canelo. He is able to break down excellent boxers, e.g., Kalajdzic, Johnson, Gvozdyk. A smaller fighter like Canelo would come straight at him would be dead meat. Beterbiev's conditioning is off the charts, and he has exceptional technical skill. He was 295-5 as an amateur. For the next two years, light heavies would be best to avoid this guy.
