I believe the winner of this fight will be the best at 175 lbs Champ. Beterbiev 3 years ago was a world beater. Now, the jury is out on him. I believe Gvozdyk will win handly based on his quickness and boxing skills. It will be on ESPN for free tonight.

Yup. Great match-up and available for the masses. Gvozdyk is a caste beater in that he has great technique and skills, something white fighters supposedly lack. Beterviev is real strong though, but something of a straight ahead fighter.

I'm rooting for Gvozdyk. But the other guy is dangerous and Gvozdyk has been hurt before. One thing I don't want to see is Gvozdyk suddenly hurt and retreating to the ropes then Beterbiev finishing him there.

Great fight on just plain old ESPN.

The guys on ESPN are thinking Beterbeiv will be too much for Gvozdyk and grind out a win or late KO. I don't think so.

Beterbiev has amazing stamina, he just kept pouring it on with hard shots in the 9th and 10th, while Gvozdyk's punches had less on them by those last two rounds.

Great fight, best of the year so far.

I was wrong. Beterbiev proved to be the wrecking ball I thought he was. He broke down Gvozdyk with piercing body shots. Those shots sapped Govozdyk. Therefore, he could not keep off Beterbiev off with his power shots. Congrats to Beterbiev for a decisive victory!

I'm bummed. Gvozdyk may have been my favorite current fighter. I wasn't thrilled with the match-up when it first came out.

When Gvozdyk boxed and moved he did well. But it's hard to keep that up for a whole fight.

He just didn't look that sharp tonight.

I thought so too Hock. I figured Gvozdyk would box and move and might even stop Beterbiev late. Beterbiev got stronger as the fight went and Gvozdyk was the one that faded. Those body shots were massive by Beterbiev.

Good assesment of the fight Westside. That was the first time I've seen Beterbiev. He really did look strong. Gvozdyk boxed well, threw good jabs and combos, and moved well, but Beterbiev just walked through everthing Gvozdyk threw at him and broke him down with hard shots to the body and head. Gvozdyk fought a good fight, I thought. Beterbiev just wasn't hurt by anything he got hit with. Gvozdyk is a really good fighter, but I'm not sure if they fought again the outcome would be any different. For someone to beat Beterbiev they are going to have to hit really hard and be able to hurt him. I wonder if Kovalev could beat him. Beterbiev beat Kovalev in the amateurs in 2007. Usyk beat Beterbiev in 2011 in the amareurs but Usyk is now a heavyweight.

(((Max Kellerman))) said Gvozdyk "quit in his corner after the 9th round"

Looked to me despite being physically badly beaten up, Gvozdyk tried his best in the 10th.

F'n Kellerman never lets a fight featuring elite White fighters, an opportunity to disparage them. I caught that remark last night. It would have been true if Gvozdyk did not come out for the 10th. But he showed true courage coming out even though the tide had turned against him. This F'n Kellerman BTW is a hardcore Trump hater.

Kellerman has always been a complete white-hating POS. His own brother was beaten to death by a black criminal who was staying with him in his apartment, yet he continues to be a Jewish cuck for the black supremecist agenda. And he is on ESPN as a boxing "expert", yet has he even ever boxed himself? I doubt it. Yet he sits beside past champions on the set and shoots his entitled little mouth off about boxing as if he has some kind of authority. He was given the job because his daddy or grand daddy had connections. What a complete phony.

He was chosen for his high-profile jobs because he's Jewish, like the people who run HBO and ESPN.

Way back in the day when he was about 14 he had a public access show on boxing where he interviewed fighters and trainers and took callers. He also is failed rapper who isn't a street person, he's basically another Micheal Rappaport who is less "funny".

As for the fight Beterbiev beating Gvozdyk was a mild upset IMO as generally boxers blunt come forward sluggers. But the Chechen is very fit and seems to have a Rocky Marciano style of hitting anything on your body to tire you out.

Already there is talk that if PEDnelo beats Kovalev he will want no part of Beterbiev, Kovalev already stated if he wins against Alvarez if there isn't a lucrative rematch he will look to fight the Chechen slugger.

Gvozyk, unfortunately, is still in the hospital after scans showed a spot on the back of the brain. Teddy Atlas said it was not serious and he is expected to be released Monday morning. Hope he recovers fully.

Beterbiev's amateur fights with Usyk were really pretty close despite Usyk's size advantage (he fought him as a heavyweight). At least one of them could have been called a draw. Beterbiev is the real deal and has been a very avoided fighter. Pound for pound he has one of the hardest punches in boxing. He would beat Kovalev, probably kill Canelo. He is able to break down excellent boxers, e.g., Kalajdzic, Johnson, Gvozdyk. A smaller fighter like Canelo would come straight at him would be dead meat. Beterbiev's conditioning is off the charts, and he has exceptional technical skill. He was 295-5 as an amateur. For the next two years, light heavies would be best to avoid this guy.

Good news, in the last few months boxing has had 2 fighters die after collapsing in the ring on national tv, the latest death involved a fighter who while Black wasn't poor and really didn't need pro boxing for the money. His tough as a bird Irish American trainer for the moment is closing up his gym because of the death.
