GSP to Wrestle in Olympics?

Looks like UFC WW champ GSP wants to wrestle for Canada in 2012. He's said to have take-downs/shots & take-down defense second to none (in the UFC). He actively trains with the Canadian wrestling team. We'll see if his technical expertise is up to snuff against fellow world class wrestlers.

GO GSP. Maybe someday we will have MMA in the Olympics. It's a longshot but maybe someday.

G301, I know there was/is a push for submission grappling (ala ADCC) in the Olympics. I think that should be a lock (especially compared to candy@$$ sports like baseball, softball, badmitton, etc.).

MMA is a huge longshot...although it's the top/best combat sport in the world.

I agree. Submission grappling would probably have a better chance to gain entry in the Olympics over MMA which with it's gladiator type image would have a hard time fitting in with the niceties of the Olympics.
