Flagg and Kon are the betting faves for Rookie of the Year

The last time two white guys were top 2 in Rookie of the Year voting for either the NBA or the ABA was 1971, when the top two were Dave Cowens and Geoff Petrie (Pete Maravich was third.)

I’ve been posting this in the general NBA thread but will add it here. Flagg has now passed Edgecombe in points. Kalbrenner holding steady at 8th and Demin slowly rising to 11th. I expect Demin to finish much higher at the end of the year as he’s a raw prospect who’s been showing some slow improvement.

Knueppel with another fantastic game yesterday scoring 26 points while Flagg had probably the second worst game of his career scoring just 12 points on 4-15 shooting.
Kalkbrenner suffered an ankle injury yesterday. Hopefully it's not serious.
Demin hit a clutch 3-pointer a day or 2 ago to help the Nets upset the Celtics.
