A perfect summation of the fight and his career. His punch resistance is gone as Mitrione couldn't carry his jock strap as Larry Holmes used to say.Saw it. Fedor threw a right; Mitrione threw a left; knocked each other down at the same time. Mitrione, younger, got up, and finished it. Fedor's chin is gone. He can't fight anymore. Time for something else. He's still the best ever, just needs to quit now.
Did you catch Mitrione at the mike after he won. He said, kids shut off the sound, and then he said, f u Golden State Retrievers, which is some n'r basketball team that President Trump invited to the White House but they refused to go. He said, invite me and I'll go.
Didn't catch it but my brother told me about it! Good stuff, I've always liked Mitrione. College football player turned bad ass cage fighter. He's no SJW.
Bellator has really stepped it up.
Lol, You have to be joking about Slice being any kind of Hope, right? I mean, he was a laughing stock to anyone that followed MMA. His story was the "rags to riches" bullcrap they like to throw out, now that he's dead, but he was nothing but a name for Gary Shaw to use to compete with the UFC.Right! He beat up the late great black hope Kimbo Slice Ferguson too.
I agree, although GSP is not too far behind, and if he comes back and reclaims his title and defends it a few times he will probably surpass Fedor.Fedor is still the MMA "GOAT"...the best ever!

Mitrione has all the talent in the world to be a champion. Solid chin, devastating knockout power, superior athleticism to everyone at HW, and phenomenal movement.
He just can't put it together, and at 38, time is running out for "Meathead".

However, if you look at it, in the scheme of MMA, Fedor was on another level. He was a pioneer, a phenom, as dominant a champion as there ever has been and ever will be.
Lol, I guess I did get a bit ahead of myself on that. Still what Fedor did, and who he did it to was amazing.I agree, except with the last part. Who knows what tomorrow has?
True, but Fedor was out of his prime around 33. If you are not "enhanced", that's about the age you go down hill.Fedor was good but not the best ever, in his prime he got ko'd by Hendo, Verdum. Miocic would have taken him apart, even Arlovski was on the verge of KO'ing him but got stupid and tried to look fancy with the flying knee and got caught. I do think for sheer nastiness and mean steak Fedor was a beast....
Just my opinion...
