More call for the destruction of the American working class/middle class by the private Fed. Globalist shill Bernanke perpetuates the greeeeeat wonders of "Free Trade" as the American middle class is being rapidly disintegrated. The privately owned, controlled Fed is long overdue to be abolished!

Bernanke backs globalization

Aaron Siegel / Investment News | May 1, 2007

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke sang the praises of globalization today, noting that benefits resulting from protecting American workers from foreign competition would be outweighed by the benefits of free trade.

Mr. Bernanke spoke at the Montana Economic Development Summit 2007 in Butte.

"Restricting trade by imposing tariffs, quotas, or other barriers is exactly the wrong thing to do," he said in prepared remarks.

"Such solutions might temporarily slow job loss in affected industries, but the benefits would be outweighed, typically many times over, by the costs, which would include higher prices for consumers and increased costs for U.S. firms."

Mr. Bernanke said that trade has little net impact on the number of jobs that are available in the U.S. and firms that emphasize exports are among the most dynamic and productive companies in the country.

"Relative to firms that produce strictly for the domestic market, exporters tend to be more technologically sophisticated and to create better jobs," he said.

He noted that exporters pay higher wages and add jobs more rapidly than non-exporters, adding that a significant portion of U.S. international trade is conducted by multinational firms.

"The broad benefits of trade and the associated economic change may come at a cost to some individuals, firms, and communities," he said. "We need to continue to find ways to minimize the pain of dislocation without standing in the way of economic growth and change."

All this Free trade stuff isn't actually free trade but highly restricted trade that penalize American manufacters. The Nafta Trade Agreement is 3 encyclopedia books thick in small print. This protectionism for the Oligarchy and monopoly capitalism at its worst.Edited by: Baseball Fan

Amen BF! NAFTA, CAFTA are more like "SHAFTA" & "CRAPTA"! You can throw the FTAA into that traitorous bunch of crapola too! Americans directly & indirectly feel the negative effects of these disasterous policies every single day.

No surprise, as the new federal reserve chairman is just as Jewish as all the old ones. And yet nobody seems to notice. But were the conspiracy wackoos.

Gotta hand to those Jews on one thing, those yarmulukes they use are great for covering bald spots. They'll save thousands on hair replacement from Bosley Medical.

What makes me laugh the most about the "upper banker" class is that if they do succeed in stealing all of the worlds wealth and crippling whites there will be no one to save them from the poor, starving hordes left behind. They will see them like the farmers of south africa, and there will come a point that no money will stop those who come to take.

In short, thier greed will be thier undoing in the long run. It has always been this way in the past, this is the reason they have been attacked in almost any culture they stay in for any length of time.

If we want to prevent this type of disgustingly greedy behavior we need to elimiate the Federal Reserve, allow the government to print it's own money, and set a limit on usury rates - say 10% - so that they can get away from the state of inflation and credit addiction the united states has become.
