The whole Red Wings series was a disaster. From the get go the Wings looked lethargic. Legace was awful and Lidstrom and Shanahan were surprisingly awful. As for the Captain he was one of the better Wings when he did play which wasn't often enough. That said I see no reason why Stevie Y shoudn't return next year. He can't go out like this can he? He still can play so I hope to heck he comes back another year for us fans sake more than anything. He is a hero to so many. Man that was a bummer.

I feel your pain. Many President's Trophy winners have flamed-out through the years, but this year's Wings went out with an absolute whimper.

I think the Wings peaked when they won the cup with Konstantinov on defense. Since Vlad had his tragic car-crash injury, the Wings have never had a savage, mean Scott Stevens-like defender to scare opponents.

They need one!
