the main event is Koscheck vs Yoshida

Fights I want to see.

Swick vs Goulet(170) Swick is 29 and sports a record of 12-2. I expect him to pull off a victory.

Nate Loughran vs Tim Creuder(185)- Loughran is 28 and undefeated 9-0 he won his UFC debut against Johnny Rees. Creuder is a BJJ specialist and sports a record of 11-4.

Steve Bruno vs Jonny Rees 185- Bruno is 13-4 and Rees has only one loss. Both these guys are in their mid-twenties.

Steve Cantwell vs Razak Al-Hassan(205)- Cantwell is the 22 year old WEC champ who defeated Brian Stann He sports a record of 4-1. Al-Hassan is 6-0 against cans. Al- Hassan is a 26 year old black muslim who is not going to be popular with the troops. I really hope Cantwell destroys him.

Cantwell & Swick are solid. Cantell should whoop Hassan's tail.

Cantwell broke Hassan's arm after the Haji didn't tap. The ref stepped in to stop the fight when the arm bent at an odd angle. Hassan appeared to be going into shock, like literal 'shock' not shocked as in surprised.

Then Cantwell says in the post fight interview, "You don't know how long I've wanted to do that to somebody!"

wtf?

Cantwell looked very good and so did Jim Miller, but the two guys who impressed me the most tonight were Mike Swick and Ben Saunders. Swick destroyed Guilet with a devesting flurry of sticks. Saunders faced an ex Navy S.E.A.L and pummeled him in the clinch. Sauders could possible be the best striker at 170 not named GSP or Swick.

It may be the most gruesome injury in the history of the UFC. Fighter Corey Hill went down for good after suffering a broken leg during his fight against Dale Hartt. WARNING -- THIS IS REALLY HARD TO WATCH.

I think Cantwell meant submitting somebody. Cantwell has won all his previous fights with some type of a knockout and he probably meant it was nice to win with a submission hold. I hope that's what he meant.

That is a hard video to watch. I have always wondered about those snap, crackle and pop spindly legs of Hill. I hope he recovers from this and can walk normally again. Fighting in the future should be the least of his concerns.

In his post fight celebration he pointed at his own arm, then at Hassan, and started shouting "I broke it! I broke it!".

There is no doubt what he meant.

Cantwell came across like a world class jack off. I really hope he has a rubber match with Brain Stann and gets some sense knocked into him.

An old dead White guy once said "It is better to be feared than loved."

In the same vein, it is better when they hate then when they have contempt for you.

Cantwell won a fight for "us" in the most brutal fashion possible. Good on him. Doesn't really matter if he's the kind of guy I'd like to have a beer with or not.

If Hassan didn't want a broken arm, the idiot should have tapped.

I have to say though Hassan was way out matched. First off those kicks he throws do nothing. He lands with the foot rather then the shin like a tikwando fighter, His BJJ is even worse watch how easily Cantwell got side control and when he was mounted he didn't try anything. I know about 50 people at Sityotong that deserved the show more then Hassan.
now as far as the break went it is Hassans own stupity for not tapping out when he new he wasn't going to get out of the arm bar.
I like Cantwell heis 22 and has a bright future at 205, unlike Soko.

I agree and I'm not disputing that at all.
It was a legal technique, locked in deep, and it was either tap or snap.

Letting himself down by behaving like a total douche by screaming "I broke it!" and "you don't know how long I've been waiting to do that to somebody" and other ghetto antics won't do him any favors.

Anyway, the UFC have about 15 guys currently under contract at light heavyweight who would torque Cantwell.

Exactly.

I'm still not sure if it a case of Cantwell being that good or Hassan being that worthless.

I didn't see that comment and I stand corrected. I was just trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. What a jerk. Still glad he won but he will get his soon in the UFC. Thats why I look up to character guys like Couture, Franklin, Hughes, Griffin, Quarry, Henderson and A. Silva who still have honor and respect for the sport they are in.

Don't forget Fedor, who's very modest as well. I'll pull for guys like Cantwell & Lesnar against non-White fighters, but I prefer the class attitude of guys like Couture & Franklin.

P.S. - Hill's way too light for 6'4. I was 6'4 in 7th grade & held 190 lbs. He's a grown man. Even with a smaller frame/bone structure, he should be at 170 or 185.Edited by: DixieDestroyer

The first two wins of his career were by armbar and his fifth was by RNC..what are you talking about?

Joe Rogan said during the fight that Cantwell had won all his fights by Knockout. Naturally I took that to mean that he had never submitted anybody into tapping. So Rogans error, not mine. I could have researched it more but I took the experts word on it. I think it's still considered a knockout of some sort when you put a submission hold on somebody, he doesn't tap but the ref stops it anyway. TKO I guess.
