Anyone watching this fight? Comments or predictions?

Malignaggi has faded noticeably in the last two years or so, and it's horrible matchmaking on Team Garcia ' s part to take on a shot fighter considering Garcia is undefeated and claims to be championship level.

It's not very likely, but it'd be awesome to see Malignaggi pull off the upset. I'll be rooting for Paulie!

I like both fighters. But it appears that Paulie has faded. But its his last hurrah and it would be great to see him pull off the upset by boxing circles around Garcia. The chances of that happening are 30%. Also on the under card, a great match up with "White Latin" Sergio "Latin Snake" Mora vs PBC's next black hope, Daniel Jacobs. We all remember what happened to him when he stepped up to competition against Pirog, who has disappeared. Here is Sergio Mora's big chance to get into the high stakes middle weight match ups by beating PBC hyped black hope fighter. I will be tuning in.

I don't care for either of these Al Haymon boxers.

Danny Garcia has been avoiding decent opponents. Paulie Malignaggi is a pathetic feather-fisted journeyman.

Malignaggi has the ability to out-score Garcia over the course of the bout, however, he does not have the chin to go the distance. Paulie has faded somewhat in speed/footwork and will not be able to avoid all the shots thrown at him.

Consequently, Malignaggi will be knocked out cold, or suffer a TKO. This fights does not go the distance, even though I will be rooting for Pauli and the upset.

I like Malignaggi's ring-side commentary, as he is much more articulate than 99% of other ex-boxers (Roy Jones for example) that work in this area.

There are some reasons to like Malignaggi - he has always given his best effort in his fights despite being outgunned (he doesn't hit very hard, his fight VS Cotto back in 2006 or so, he was badly banged up but gave a great effort and went the distance, at that time Cotto was a killer, much better than he is now).

I've heard some of Malignaggi's commentary and some of his comments on fighters throughout the sport, sometimes he comes across as a wigger, but I guess thats what you get in Brooklyn, NY.

Danny Garcia and his father have got to be the biggest retards in pro boxing now that BHOP has lost and shut up after losing to Kovalev. Danny Garcia's father is constantly putting up youtube videos where he talks negatively about GGG, and claimed that Bernard Hopkins would expose GGG. Yea right, if BHOP fights GGG he is in for Kovalev # 2. Angel Garcia also bashes fighters beause their not American. Newsflash: The world doesnt revolve around USA and the majority of American boxers are sh1tty anyway.

His son is a hardcore Hispanic wigger, and its too bad that he didnt actually fight GGG, he'd get knocked out early. That would shut his annoying father up.

Of the 2, I much prefer Malignaggi and hope he has one more trick in the bag to pull off the upset.

Malignaggi would have had a good chance in this fight a few years back, but he's coming off a KO loss and is damaged goods at this point. Team Garcia are a bunch of cowards for selecting him as an opponent. Danny is un defeated and should be fighting better competition.

I agree with you BS2, the Garcia camp is counting on Malignaggi to make for a boutique fight for their mystery meat champ.

It's unfortunate that Pauli (like many other aged fighters) will be the last one to acknowledge that it's time to hang-up the gloves.

It seems old boxers (and other combat fighters) age from the neck-down and invariably take compound punishment when they should have quit several fights back. These warriors never give-up, they just end up not being able to answer the last bell... Sad really.
