Kupp already has the 2nd best statistical season by a wide receiver through 16 games, at 138 for 1829 and 15 TDs. The only better season I could find was Jerry Rice in 1995 had 122 for 1848 and 15 TDs.

Michael Thomas’ single season reception record of 149 only netted 1725 YDs and 9 TDs. Calvin Johnson’s record of 1964 yards came on 122 catches, and a measly 5 TDs. Like Kupp, Johnson’s QB was Matt Stafford, who obviously knows how to feed a no. 1 receiver.

Absolutely, Stafford's gone to Kupp all season and no one can complain because the results are there. (At least no rational person can complain but as we know there are way too many lunatics in a country that's been turned into an insane asylum.)

My only quibble is that they should let Cooper run medium to long routes more often as he can dominate all areas of the field, but that doesn't take away from what's been an all-time great season to enjoy. If he makes it to 2,000 yards that will be comparable to the few running backs who have rushed for over 2,000 yards, which is a magical number in football.

A few Long routes for Kupp would be nice and save some wear and tear on his body. A lot of his catches he has to break 3 or 4 tackles like a runningback. Which he is damn good at.

I remember when Mike Tomlin and Ben Roethlisberger spoon-fed Antonio Brown a bunch of passes in 2015 to get him an NFL record. I hope Sean McVay and Matt Stafford extend that same courtesy to Kupp. (For that matter, I wonder if any of Baltimore's three black quarterbacks will be extending the Brett Favre lay-down courtesy to TJ Watt this weekend... hahaha)

The Rams need to get the ball to Kupp early.
I've noticed in the past 3 or 4 games, Kupp had low yardage and few receptions in the first half.
Then the Rams went to him in the 2nd half, and his stats came up quite a bit.

If they make much better use of him in the first half of the game, he has a shot for some of these records.

Cooper Kupp’s 145 rec 1947 yds and 16 TDs, has exceeded Jerry Rice’s 1995 season as the single greatest all around statistical season for a Wide Receiver. Unbelievably great season by Cooper Kupp. None of us could have predicted such an epic season. It was amazing.

Sorry guys but despite it being incredible he had so little production due to being ignorred in the 2nd half and overtime. To be 18 yards from being number one will always piss
me off. I would not be honest to say any different. Am I incredibly proud of Kupp? Of course I am! That doesn't change that he should have had way more than
7 passes thrown his way in a game for so much importance even outside of the All Time NFL Record!

On a positive note to win the triple crown and be the best nfl wide receiver by a landslide is outstanding!

This season, Kupp earned the receiving triple crown, leading the league in receptions (145), yards (1,947) and touchdowns (16). Kupp joined elite company, as only three other pass-catchers have accomplished this achievement: Jerry Rice (1990), Sterling Sharpe (1992) and Steve Smith (2005).

Here's a great article about Cooper Kupp from USA Today -- Opinion: Cooper Kupp is known more as white receiver than wide receiver despite record-setting season
Basically the writer says that Kupp is white stereotyped as receiver, and addresses the caste stereotypes that we talk about.
A very good read.

Very good read - enjoyable to see he calls out the caste-speak BSPN regularly engages in.

Kupp got an opportunity in LA. Heck he was on track for 1,000 yards in his second season but only played 8 games unfortunately. Then hit 1200 yards and then just shy of 1,000 in year four.

simply put he is one of the top 3 receivers in the league.

Actually here at CF it was not that far fetched. Cooper Kupp Won the Jerry Rice Award his Freshman season; one of the all time great's you mention.

Here is the thread started back in 2014.....
In POST #9 ....I said he can be the next Jerry Rice during Senior Bowl Week 2017 (throw some old school Steve Largent route running in there)

CONGRATS to Cooper Kupp! He just needed a improvement @ QB/ Stafford
Hopefully more young white boys watch him on TV and say " you know what i can do that too"

Where were the HS Recruiting experts on this? Was he even a 1 Star? NOPE ...No Stars (see Adam Thielen) WAS NOT EVEN RANKED!
.... Ended up with ONLY ONE OFFER at Eastern Washington

You called it Twenty Two. To think that the world almost didn't even get to see his ability. One college scholarship is just disgusting but not
suprising in this Anti White World we live in. I'm so happy Kupp made them all eat crow. What an incredible season. Almost 2000 yards
is just insane to think about. Hope to see him light in up in the playoffs!

Also names unanimous AP All-Pro today.

the accolades will continue to roll in. He had, statistically and realistically the greatest season by a wide receiver since Rice’s beat season and honestly Kupp’s was better.

Counting the 2 playoff games, Cooper Kupp’s season total is up to 2,191 yards and 18 touchdowns. He’s the only player ever to go over 2K. As the article states, Larry Fitzgerald and Jerry Rice are the next closest, but Kupp is running away from them with at least 1, and maybe 2, more games.

It would be hard to argue that Kupp’s 21/22 season isn’t the greatest of all time.

For me, I think one of the most positive aspects of Kupp's historic success this year could be the precedent for the future success of white wide receivers coming into the league. While the Caste System propaganda is relentless - I think this has the potential to have a big impact in years to come.

Although in some ways it is a bit counter-intuitive, the fact that Kupp did what he did without having the measurables of a Jordy Nelson or a Matt Jones makes it harder to explain away his success as being an athletic freak. He has shown to the next generation of athletes that despite only clocking a 4.6 forty-yard dash - he is plenty fast enough and can run every route and make every catch.

Following Wes Welker's success with the Patriots, he effectively became the pioneer of the slot receiver position and created an "acceptable" niche in the NFL's ecosystem for white wide receivers to succeed. After Welker, white slot receivers were accepted - and even in some cases sought after. Without Welker, it is unlikely players like Danny Amendola, Cole Beasley, Julian Edelman etc would have got the opportunities to prove themselves on the big stage.

Despite all the good things that developed from this, there was still a caveat. As effective as they proved to be, I think there was a very real sense that white slot receivers were tolerated because they were not "real" receivers in the mold of a Randy Moss or a Jerry Rice. Slot guys were limited in their effectiveness, as they couldn't succeed on the perimeter or down the field with the best corners. As the game evolved away from the run-heavy style of the 1990s, the slot receiver basically took over the role of the old-school fullback. Just as fullbacks like Moose Johnston played Robin to Emmitt Smith's Batman - so too white athletes could fit in as slot receivers without threatening the ingrained athletic assumptions of the league.

This is where I think what Kupp did can have an even bigger impact than Welker in carving out a space for white receivers. While he operates out of the slot more often than not, he can win on any route both inside and outside the numbers - and at 6'2'' can also go up and make contested catches against the best defenders in the business.

Looking back a few years, it is striking to see how the similarities between Kupp and another great receiver from the Pacific Northwest - Mike Hass.

Physically they are almost identical.

Kupp is 6'2'' 208lbs, runs a 4.62 40-yard dash with a 6.75 second three-cone drill, 116-inch broad jump and a 31-inch vertical jump.

Hass was 6'1'' 210lbs, ran a 4.59 40-yard dash with a 6.97 second three-cone drill, 116-inch broad jump and a 32-inch vertical jump.

On the playing field both dominated their competition, with Hass posting three consecutive 1,000 yard seasons at Oregon and winning the Biletnikoff award in his final year.

While both were touted as mid-round prospects, Kupp was given an opportunity in his rookie year to start, while despite impressive training camp performances Hass was stashed at the bottom of the Saints' roster before being discarded - bouncing around practice squads for a few years without ever getting a chance.

Although Kupp has transcended the slot receiver label he initially received when he entered the league, the success of players like Welker no doubt helped open the door to him getting his opportunity.

However for Hass, at that stage there weren't many contemporaries to follow in the footsteps of. Reading up on some old stories and comments from fan forums (aside from the relentless caste-speak - one article joked his speed could be measured by sundial), the best the top receiver in College football could hope to achieve was a career similar to Ricky Proehl or Wayne Chrebet.

In some ways Kupp's achievements make Hass's story all the more tragic, knowing that he was totally capable of dominating the league in a similar way - but never even got the opportunity to make a single catch. On the flipside, it shows that while the Cast System is still a pervasive force, it is not set in stone and gains can be made. No doubt if Kupp had been born 15 years earlier, there's no way he would dream of achieving the success he has enjoyed in 2021.
