I'm so pumped for this young sprinter that I just had to start a thread for him. That 6.51 recently is the fastest 60 meters time for
any white american sprinter ever! His 10.14 last summer was with 0 wind so the kid has some serious wheels. He has a new coach now!
Good luck to Coby Hilton in 2023 and beyond! What a great story of another sprinter that had to go to a smaller school but still excelled!

I think with his top-end speed he will run sub-10 seconds 100 meters. I don't know much about technique, but he looked like he just exploded at the end of that 60 meters.

Yes he did like a rocket. It's a shame he had a poor start out of the blocks or he would have had a time in the high 6.40's range. His top
end speed and stride length are two of his best strengths in my opinion. He needs to get a better start and drive phase and continue to
tighten up his form. I don't think I've ever seen a sprinter run that fast in over 60 meters with a bad start. It's such a short race and he still
won the race by a big margin for that short a race. His top end speed was off the charts!

I wish our guys could get their starts down. Bolling struggles with this as well.

He's got a he'll of a long stride for a short distance sprinter. He could go sub 9.9 if he continues to progress. Imagine what he could run if he tried eating some yams.

He looks clean too as he isn't bulky like the various PED monsters who have been busted or suspected for doping. He also isn't incredibly low body fat like various busted dopers.

It will be an interesting summer and the winter season still has a good 7 weeks to go...

Here's a screen shot of the 60m American Top Ten so far this year. Coby Hilton is #1.

Coby Hilton did not start this weekend at a meet in Colorado.
This was supposed to be his next meet following his WL 6.51 60m race.
I hope he's not injured.
