Covington a speedster out of Atlanta area has retired from Pirates to concentrate on football at Georgia Southern. He batted .067 or something after 45 at bats. Kind of soon to give up on baseball but frankly it is nice to see an athlete recognize a folly early enoughand return to his better sport while still young.4.3 speed. Good luck to him. Now if only another Georgia speedster Robbie Sovie of Tigers would follow suit and head back to football or track.
