Chris is a real good athlete but unfortunately he will always be best known for all those dunking mishaps in the Dunk contest a couple of years ago. Hope he catches on somewhere.

The Hornets are said to still want him, and have first dibs.

Chris signed today with his original NBA team, the Denver Nuggets.

Looks like a great opportunity for Chris to shine, with a whole lot of minutes opening up through the departure of Camby and Najera. Let's hope he can finally live up to his potential.

I wish him the best but Chris please stay away from future dunking contests. There have been plenty of bad dunking exhibitions on the part of black athletes but Chris is always the one they make fun of.

Chris "The Birdman" Anderson is currently averaging 2.3 blocks per game! That would put him 3rd in the NBA behind Dwight Howard (4.2) and Marcus Camby (3.0).

A quick analysis:

Howard - 37:30 mins per game
Camby - 31:36 mins per game
Anderson - 16:36 mins per game

Now looking at blocks per 48 mins (full game)

Anderson - 6.51
Howard - 5.36
Camby - 4.55

So how come Howard and Camby are regarded as "defensive forces" and Anderson is never mentioned except to disparage his effort in the dunk contest or his drug suspension?!?! We know the answer of course. A badass, tattooed, athletic freak white boy can't ruin the charade of black athletic dominance.

Anderson should start ahead of overrated Nene or overpaid, oft injured Kenyon Martin. His rebounding and defense are more important than ever now that Camby is gone. I actually see Anderson as a young version of Camby. I used to watch Camby when he was on the Knicks all the time and early in his career he had no offensive game. Only over time and with much opportunity did his offensive game and jump shot develop. If given the same chance, Anderson could become a great all around player as well.

P.S. I have noticed Anderson has improved his FT% and has even hit his first three. Coach Karl has given him the green light from downtown.Edited by: Freethinker
