Carlos Beltran

I was wondering how Carlos Beltran was doing this year. After all the hype surrounding him during last years play-off's, I assumed he was the greatest thing since sliced bread.He had a couple good years but over all, he aint all that. Sure got a lot of ink though.

13 HR 59 RBI .268 AVG. Not horrible but not worth the money he was signed for.

He's never had a 40 homer season, 200 hits season, nor a 125 RBI season. However, he was someone who could hit for power,steal, and field. He did have more homers at this point in 2004, but his RBI's are rather close to last seasons totals. His average & stolen base(8) totals have dropped considerably.

I am so glad he didn't sign with the Astros, although we could use his bat in the lineup right now with Bagwell out. He just isn't worth the money.
