Nobody posted a thread on this so I might as well talk about this on paper mismatch. The weigh in was today and Canelo looked somewhat drained in making 154. While his face didn't look ashen, he clearly looked fairly dry and had to strip naked to make the limit. I expect him to unofficially weigh in close to the light heavyweight limit before the fight. Smith who is aggressive and is a big junior middleweight also weighed the max weight but looked much fresher than Canelo. Being that the fight is in Texas I don't expect Smith to have any chance on the scorecards unless he literally batters Canelo from pillar to post. I suspect Alvarez isn't long for this division if he wins as expected as he literally has nothing to give if he gains even an ounce of fat or muscle in the near future. We may see the GGG superfight in the near future.

WIR you are correct. Canelo has absolutely boiled himself down to 154 lbs. I am 507 and weigh in currently 160 lbs. Funny, I made a bet with a co worker to get down to 155 lbs. Believe me its hard I have given up bread and sweets. I drink Light Muscel Milk in the morning then a regular lunch. Then a handful of nuts for dinner. That is it. I work out 4 to 5 days a week. Its a core. But I can do it. But Canelo is close to 510. Its incredible how he is able to lose the weight on weight in day. Then come into the ring at 170 lbs. Canelo is a great fighter. He should stop Smith in the late rounds. But he needs to "stop f*cking around" and sign to fight the greatest fighter of his era in GGG.
